This day began with a very cosy morning. Astrid came up in bed when I woke and she fell asleep on my chest 💗 after a late breakfast we went for some Nose Work practice. Afterwards we blew of some steam at the beach before a nice bath at home (use the massage bench to blow dry her easier) All pretty and ready to get dirty again at day care tomorrow 😅

Apportering med kommendering Jag tjuvstartar och Nitro har (för första gången någonsin?!) asdåligt tempo men han griper, håller och framförallt så vobblar han inte. Videon visar inte en bra apportering i sin helhet, men som vi kämpar med det här satans momentet! Från att ha tuggat som en dåre, vägrat ha apporten i munnen sittandes, släppt så fort han närmat sig mig (inklusive en kort period förrförra veckan då han vägrade att ens titta på apporten) till detta. Ingången är usel men jag måste säga att den faktiskt sett mycket bättre ut de senaste passen, han var som sagt inte direkt med på noterna idag. Alltså ingenting är gratis med Nitro, jag får verkligen jobba för att hitta inlärningsmetoder som fungerar och jag utmanas ständigt då han är så jäkla kvick. Han är den absolut roligaste hunden jag haft att träna med just för att det inte bara är att klicka och belöna utan jag måste hela tiden förnya mitt tänk kring inlärning. Så samtidigt som det är otroligt lärorikt och roligt, så genererar det också i många gråa hårstrån och mellan varven även en väldigt stark känsla av misslyckande. Jag känner mig ofta otillräcklig och okunnig när vi kör fast i träningen men samtidigt ser jag våra framsteg och hur vi hela tiden utvecklas tillsammans för att bli det perfekta teamet på plan.

Tried something new today, sending her out to a target. First I sent her out from the same position then tried from different positions but always to the same target. At the end I added different targets. She learns fast so I want to variate the targets.. next time maybe it will be a chair, who knows 🤷♀️ I'm not quite sure if this is the right way of doing it but it was fun and also so fun to see her use her brain 😁❤
