Christchurch Civic Centre – Water Feature.
The water feature presented a unique challenge in that the main structure of the facility was already existing. The plant room was situated in a remote part of the basement of the building close to other electrical systems with no gravity drainage available. A high level of water treatment was implemented to reduce chlorine fumes from effecting the basement as well as an automated water dumping system which discharges water from the system during heavy rain.
Circulation pump with stainless steel inlet strainer
Water jet pump and controls for 3 jet fountains.
Water filtration and UV Treatment with Triogen UV.
Automated water chlorination and pH control.
Automatic water dumping in case of feature flooding during heavy rain.
The Water feature was completed to the allocated budgets and in the required timeframes during the building construction period. We continue to service and maintain this feature today. #Auckland#mechanical#engineering#swimmingpool#pumps#newzealand#mechanic#mechanicalengineering#manufacturing#engineer#christchurchnz
☕ Do you actually KNOW how much caffeine is in your coffee?⠀☕
We're not talking just a casual "3 cups of coffee" sort of measurement. Caffeine varies widely between different coffee beans, coffee roasts, and coffee serve styles. So when you're lying awake at night…maybe think on how it all adds up.⠀🤔
For beans, there are two common varieties. Arabica & Robusta.✌️
While Arabica is regarded to be the higher quality for its sweet and fruity flavours, on average the Arabica beans contain about half the caffeine of Robusta.❗
An interesting thing about roast is that light or dark roast doesn't directly change caffeine content. But because dark roasted beans have been cooked for longer, they have less mass. This means that per gram of roast, dark roast will have a greater caffeine content.⠀⚖️
Then when it comes to serve style, volume varies and as does the technique. 😯
Coffeescience.org provides the following guideline:⠀
Drip or Filter: 115-1175mg⠀
French press or Plunger: 80-135mg⠀
Boiled (Greek or Turkish): 160-240mg⠀
Espresso: ~63mg (for a single shot small)⠀
And then we have where you get it. Caffeine content definitely varies significantly per brand, but also at coffee shops they often serve larger volumes than one standard serving. Bear in mind if you have a 500ml cup of brewed, its going to be double the content of a "normal" serving.⠀😊
So take care guys and gals! Check yo'self before you wreck yo'self.⠀

Population of Australia's Capital Cities (June 2017)
"Sydney’s population hit 5.1 million at June 2017, an increase of 101,600 people (2 per cent) since June 2016. But it was Melbourne that recorded the largest - and fastest growth - of Australia’s capital cities in 2016-17, increasing by 125,400 (2.7 per cent) to reach 4.9 million."
“Together, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane accounted for over 70 per cent of Australia’s population growth in 2016-17.”
“Darwin, Adelaide and Perth on the other hand experienced relatively low rates of population growth, each at 1 per cent or less.”
“ABS Demography Director Anthony Grubb said that the latest population estimates were the first to include data on the components driving population change in Australia's capital cities and regions – natural increase (births minus deaths), internal and overseas migration.”

Anyone with a smart phone is a potential eyewitness cameraman.
it’s been far too long (1 week) since I treated myself to some @theunbakery goodies and that’s a good enough excuse for me to go out of my way to go to ponsonby for the sole reason of getting some!! i love me!!! today I tried out the chocolate layer cake and this has made it into my top 3 little bird treats (alongside the caramel slice pictured and the cookies and cream cake I had last time). such good texture and subtle coconutty flavour and although every time I see them serve a slice of cake at little bird I think it’s too small, this was actually the perf size and I prob would have vommed if I ate any more hehe 🙂🥰🥰
