Our visit to Bruges was amazing despite being soaked the entire time! This is the first photo I took during sunrise in Belgium from our first-night hotel near the center of Brussels. Given that sunrise isn’t until 8:45, I’m sure there will be many more to come!

Warum nicht World Literature in Wien studieren? Am 07. November gibt es eine Info Session dazu.

Today, Joshua departs on his first solo adventure: a semester studying in Madrid. It really seems not so long ago when that wee boy was sitting next to me looking out over the Straits of Juan de Fuca (who was hired by the Spanish King, Philip II). I'm experiencing a swirling mix of love, pride, gratitude, nervousness, and grief. But the greatest of these is love.
