Trøllkonufingur - the Witch’s finger 👆🏻 “Legend has it, that Trøllkonufingur is the finger of a witch that came to throw the Faroe Islands to Iceland. When she came to the sea south of Vágar, the sun came up and she was turned into stone and fell into the ocean.
She was so big that when she reached the bottom of the sea, the back of her head and her finger were above the surface. The back of her head is the island of Koltur, and the finger is Trøllkonufingur.” - @visitvagar

Just a few more weeks until we wrap up the summer season for good... While you may think Labor Day, in New England I always think Columbus Day weekend.. it's then we close the pool and lug all our outdoor stuff to storage... With the rainy, humid summer we've had, I'm intending to enjoy this last little bit of it to the fullest.. and I'm looking so forward to the foliage... Where's my leaf peepers at?
We tried so hard to reach this place before sunset. Wanted so badly to catch the last light. But we missed it. Guess that’s a part of it.
But then it’s amazing to see, how surprisingly beautiful this place turned out to be during twilight.
Reminder: often the best moments come unplanned✨
