Last week a good friend and I took 6 kids to explore northern Arizona during their fall break. To say we had fun is an understatement! The kids were amazing and really seemed to enjoy the adventure.
When we arrived in Page, we found out that our tour of Antelope Canyon was rained out. We quickly found an alternative and headed to the Glen Canyon Dam.
The visitor center is kid-friendly with a lot of hands on activities. Another benefit to this stop was that the kids were able to participate in the @nationalparkservice Junior Ranger Program.
The @junior.ranger.nps entails kids completing a series of activities during their visit to most locations of the NPS. It culminates with the kids reciting the Junior Ranger Program motto and receiving a patch or badge.
I highly recommend having your kids take park in the Junior Ranger Program during your next stop to a NPS spot. It doesn’t take a lot of time and the kids get a lot out of it.

My kind of plant pueblo and the cutest vintage Italian vespacart @caffioespresso ☕️🌱
I woke up this morning and decided I needed a picture of the #grandcanyon before I leave #arizona. The drive was not as easy as I imagined: it was foggy, rainy, and dark. But I made it. I parked my car and hustled to the rim only to see a thick, cotton-like blanket stretching across the castle expanse. Then as if on queue, @el_jefe006 rolled that blanket back just enough to fully experience this #naturalwonder. God's creation never ceases to amaze me. While I didn't get the sun beaming across the rocks, I am so happy with this morning. And now it's time to boogie back to PHX before this snow envelops me.

Our planet is shifting dramatically. It reminds me not to take life too seriously or to joke too much. Enjoy life’s pleasures, but to stay working to build something powerful for the betterment of our world. It seems to be the theme of all things, because at the end of the day it’s all meant to be balanced out. If you are feeling a little stagnant from this city life, reward yourself time in nature where you haven’t been.

CATWALK ▪And then this happened.... I walked Debbie Gaby's Celebrity Catwalk Event to a crowd of 500 yesterday. It was such an honor to be one of the 33 models selected.
If you know anything about a fashion show, you know that the line up is everything! I was #30, sandwiched between the mayor elect and a big time former NBA player. Sorry for the brag moment, it just made my day. [Hello: teen mom to powerhouse mom. Seriously, is this my life?] I shared the stage with a Super Model and an original Baywatch cast member, who had her own security detail. Hmmmm.
All in all, it was a great day! We supported some great charities. I was so lucky to have a room full of KNOW Phoenix ladies to cheer me on! AND @laurenabramowitz + I won a major live auction item!
And now back to work to close our KNOW Raleigh and Charlotte Books. 9 days of shooting left!!! .
Eight years today. Never in my life have I known a man more kind, considerate, even-keel, selfless, handsome, hard-working, handy, goofy, and on-fire for Christ as this guy right here. The way he leads our family in a godly way, loves our kiddos, honors me, and points us to Jesus...how did I ever deserve him? Happiest anniversary to my honey bun. I choose you today and always 💖

I changed it up a bit tonight while watching a modern, super violent slasher movie called Hush (2016). The year is very important because there are, like, twenty fucking movies called Hush (including a Batman comic book series which is dope). This film is an excellent thriller about a deaf author being stalked in her remote house in the woods by a masked murderer. I identified so much with the main character named Maddie because she starts the movie off trying to write her newest novel but doesn’t know how she's gonna end it and starts thinking that she’s a shitty writer. I’ve been there many a time. Also she tries to get away from the murderer without being able to hear what’s coming up behind her or how much noise she’s making while trying to escape. I’ve been drunk enough to experience the same thing while trying to crawl out the window of my ex-girlfriend’s house last week. The whole movie took place at night in the woods so I felt the need for some homemade hot cocoa while watching this. And a couple of splashes from the @threewellsdistilling Sonoran Copper gave my chocolatey drink a nice boozy edge. This is a mildly sweet, fermented prickly pear spirit that could only exist in the Arizona desert. The taste lies somewhere between tequila and rum and it’s such a versatile spirit that you can mix it with all kinds of shit and it would still taste amazing. My Sonoran hot cocoa mug was really comforting while watching this genuinely scary film. There’s nothing better than a liquid booze embrace.
We had an amazing workshop last week about Hormone Hacking! We can't wait for the next workshop with @zhannatarjeftfnp 💃🏻 Check out our Events page on Facebook or our Highlighted Stories to see what other workshops are on the way.
Had a sweet moment with my oldest nephew today and it kind of put things in perspective for me.
We were watching the Astros vs the Red Sox and Alex Bregman made an amazing play. So I’m sitting there and I said “that was friggin nice, he’s a stud” and my little (actually giant) 11 year old nephew looks at me and smirks and says “must be an Alex thing”.
Let me tell you, I’m not a person that cares about what people think of me, but I have to say it feels pretty cool when your nephew thinks you’re cool. He may not be as little as he was in this picture, and I may not be playing on the field anymore, but I realized he’s still watching me and what I do. It made me want to be better, for all my nephews and our little Natalyn as well. #kidsarecool#redkeepinitrealestate#beardown
Did you catch my IGTV video from this week yet? I wanted to make it after last month’s blog post about #keto -induced hypothyroidism. Check out my IGTV channel to watch it, or hit the link in my bio to read the blog post. #MetabolismResetDiet
I was gonna caption this with a depressing quote from Herodotus but I left the book in my locker so now we’re stuck with this.
