Today started with spending an hour on the phone to the doctor trying to get through and getting the ‘busy’ tone 😑 after 68 (!!!) calls, I finally got through to being put on hold 🙄 eventually after 1h15 of trying to speak to a human, I finally got to speak to a receptionist who took some details and then told me that a doctor would call me in the ‘next few hours’ to triage me and see whether I needed an appointment 😐
Two hours later, I finally got a call and didn’t even get given an appointment - just represcribed a medication that I said I didn’t get on with. 😐 seriously?!
Like usually I’m pretty happy with our medical services in the U.K. (hello NHS) but this morning was a bit ridiculous and super frustrating 🤦🏻♀️
Anyway, I had a great time reading all your bucket list destinations for 2019! ✈️ I decided to ask you all after publishing my ‘top places to travel in 2019’ article (link in bio 👀) 💕
Some of the top places include:
I’m super happy to see how many of you are looking to go to Belgium this year 😍 I fell in love with it all over again and already want to go back - to see Antwerp, Gent and Bruges again and to visit places I haven’t been before like Mechelen and Dinant.
Where is top of your bucket list for 2019? ✈️
Can’t help sharing another photo of the beautiful Antwerpen-Centraal Station 😍
The station is considered the finest example of railway architecture in Belgium and I can definitely see why 😍 the station was actually severely damaged during World War II and needed to be closed in 1986 for safety reasons due to the damage that caused constructional stresses. Major restoration work ensued and now we get to enjoy this spectacular architecture for a long time 😍
Antwerp is a great day trip from Brussels - it’s only a 35 minute train journey or drive from the capital. The city is easily walkable so you can see all the main sights in a day - the main station, Museum Plantin-Moretus, Stadsfeestzaal Shopping Centre, Cathedral of Our Lady, Museum aan de Stroom, Grote Markt and Paleis op de Meir.
Do you like to do day trips when you visit a city or just stay in the city itself?
