SNOW MOON FEELS | Art: @verena_wild22
🌓❄️🌔❄️🌕❄️🌖❄️🌗 Eclipse season is now behind us, yet the Supermoon season is just getting started. This February #FullMoon, also known as the “Snow Moon,” delivers the second Supermoon of 2019 and the fourth Supermoon in a series of five that began back in November 2018!
Woo hoo! ⚡️🌕 the light of this full moon is so strong, and the energetic pull so intense that you will have no other choice than to open up and shine that beautiful light of yours. 🔦 This super full moon is in the sign of Virgo, an earth sign which loves absorbing data and systematically creating meaning of the information. This is a great time to really pay attention to the moment, this full moon could feel like a mindfulness experience. You will be open to information beyond what meets the eye.
On a mental level, this full moon is going to be exposing all that we need to release and let go of. While this is typical for most full moons, on this Virgo Moon we are specifically going to be encouraged to let go of repetitive thoughts, over-thinking, worries, and fears of the future. You could find that certain things will just click. Things that didn’t make sense before, may just become crystal clear.
This full moon is a great time to become real with ourselves, take a personal inventory. Make some time to reflect, because I am certain that you’ll gain some valuable insights. Did you catch it? What is this super full moon telling you? I would love to hear from you below. In the meantime, I am wishing you lots of peace and a huge dose of self-love. ~ xoxox Jo
PS: Much love to @verena_wild22 for the illustration!! 🙏
This is the adorable Toby who very sadly recently passed away. This was a very unique painting in that we put together multiple pictures including making up half his face! My fantastic client and I worked together to get all the elements in the painting that really commemorated Toby's special life. Size 11 x 14. Swipe to see the gorgeous frame my client’s family handmade.
Working with the lovely @bellamavenstudio on making a new home for my artwork online and stumbled across this painting I made to explore my characters and their domain! Guys, I still can’t believe I’m published with bachelor nation’s @ashley_iaconetti and @jaredhaibon 🥰 My next goal is to get my own books out there too! Just putting that out there in the universe 💫
Until then, two more new collaborations are coming your way in 2019! One book is a wonderland for aspiring musicians, one is a heartwarming tale full of treats... The authors and creatives I get to work with are just the best and I am so very grateful. ♥️ Especially when they’re working with a then pregnant and now new mother. 😭

I've drawn so few #cetaceans it could almost be considered criminal. These are some of my most favorite animals, and yet I could probably count the number of drawings I've done of them on one hand. Admittedly, one of the main reasons why is because I'm afraid to. I worry that I'm not very good with them, which - maybe paradoxically - leads to not drawing them at all. Surely if you felt you weren't good at drawing some of your favorite animals, you'd want to keep trying at them so that maybe one day you *could* be good at drawing them, no? Anyway. I've taken a step towards that here today. Here is a #BlueWhale I've got mixed feelings about. Feel free to give feedback!
What I don't have mixed feelings about are whales themselves. They are awesome. Unquestionably. They are extraordinary. Without a doubt. They are miracles in and of themselves. Practically. Another reason I drew this #whale today was because I've been reading Philip Hoare's "The Whale," as well as frequently browsing my Handbook of the Mammals of the World: Volume IV (which covers sea mammals), and my fascination with whales has been reignited. However, I've got no interesting facts about them for you in this post. Rather, I'd like to share with you some excerpts from Hoare that I feel wonderfully describe the marvel that is the whale. His words were soul-stirring, truthfully.
Of the whale, he says: "Nothing else represents life on such a scale... They are not so much animal as geographical... [They are] dreamlike because they exist in another world, because they look like we feel as we float in our dreams... Whales defy gravity, occupy other dimensions; they live in a medium that would overwhelm us, and which far exceeds our own earthly sway. [They follow] invisible magnetic fields, [see] through sound and [hear] through their bodies, moving through a world we know nothing about. They are animals before the Fall, innocent of sin." Beautiful.
