ASLAN, the kind white lion.
I grabbed Aslan off an abusive woman in a very emotional way, as watching her beat an already unstable dog was too much to ignore. She used a metal pole.
Aslan (renamed from "Asshole" which the woman called him.. ) was spotted near a temple, covered in fleas (I have never seen anything so surreal), with open wounds everywhere and scars all over his body. I bathed him and killed populations of the pest. The next day his antibiotic (to prevent infections from the wounds) and flea treatment began.
Aslan is 8-10 years old but very alert. We taught him to sit after a day and he knows that peeing and pooping is for the outside. He has the most gentle and kind nature. His tail is very active indeed! He gets so happy to see you and appreciates love and affection a lot. He likes to greet and socialise with all dogs, walks really well on the leash and gets excited by gentle children.
We really think Aslan deserves to retire
and find a home where he is safe to do what healthy oldies do: relax, walk around and smell things, sleep comfortably without fleas torturing him, and most of all; where he is not beaten by metal poles.
We would adopt him in a heartbeat. But we are simply two overaeas volunteers and our time is running out. It would be heartbreaking to return him to where he was found, and putting him in a pound where he's locked up feels hard to think about.
Aslan doesn't require much. His monthly flea treatment (which we will give you 4 months worth of), monthly worming tablet (will provide first course), access to food and water + kindness and pats of his soft coat. We will also pay for his rabies vaccination! He likes to walk and jog, but obviously smaller distances. If you are looking for a low-maintenance large-hearted dog, Aslan is your perfect match.. A BIG PLUS, WorldVets will offer FREE spay/neutering, microchipping, rabies vaccines and heaps more at Wat Bo pagoda on 11-13 November from 8am – 5pm. You will not have to worry about funds, and if you have more dogs or cats, bring them all!
Please give Aslan a happy ending, for whatever time he has left on earth. 🙏🏼❤️ Please share in Siem Reap groups, with friends etc.
NEW IGTV VLOG:
We spent the most amazing 2 days walking around Angkor Wat when we were in Siem Reap and I wanted to keep the memory forever so I created a really special vlog so that I could always look back on it. -
I was so fortunate to witness one of the most beautiful sunrises known to (wo)man. I have put the vlog on my IGTV channel for anyone who is interested to see it also. I hope you enjoy it 💕💕💕
You loved the previous picture about Ta Prohm temple in Siem Reap. What about this one? It was a rainy morning, adding even more mood & drama. Where does this door lead, don’t you want to explore its hidden treasure? Was so hard to shoot keeping straight lines, everything is so slanted!
