How to choose the RIGHT resources to learn?!
Last night, after doing my FIRST ever LIVE session I realised I should do a post too to SUMP UP what we talked and discussed.. It was amazing to see so many of you come up for this GEEK ART TALK and it makes me super excited 😀 to do more😀😀
So here's a gist for the FIRST one!
⏩ What do YOU want to learn?
Have you really given this a thought.. What medium, what creative thing do you want to pursue.. That truly and honestly reflects YOU?! If not, do it first.. There's no point WASTING time at something that isn't YOU😱 (I cannot exaggerate this much.. So maybe to do it, lets do another GEEK TALK altogether 😉)
⏩ Choose your resources wisely
There are different kinds of resources available these days, so you don't necessarily have to go to an ART school! (if you are not able to) Books, online courses provide ample knowledge and materials to LEARN.
⏩ COST of these resources
Most importantly, is it worth the TIME you are investing? If not.. Why choose!
⏩ One to one INTERACTION with the teacher or author
I feel this is very IMPORTANT, because when you are learning something NEW you need that GURU to guide you in the right direction!
(👉 👉 I have an ONLINE class too.. Incase you are looking for something more interactive and CONNECTED)
⏩ CREATE something EVERYDAY
Its so very important to impart a few minutes everyday, each day, without FAIL! It's MAGICAL honestly when you do😉 So do give that magic a chance!
I feel that one should CONNECT with those who follow and are inspired by them.. Only then can you truly IMPART the knowledge and SPREAD it farther 😇
And as promised, will plan the NEXT Geek Talk soon! 🙏😃
A fire happened, early 2000s, when I was in high school. I forgot where it happened, but it was a bit north from San Diego. The smoke and ash from the fire became so serious school was cancelled for a week and it was highly advised you stay at home. I remember looking out the window with my brother and seeing the sky dark yellow and the sun blood red, and the ashes just snowing down on the cars in the apartment lot. Someone at school told me that the fire was manmade, not natural. The person didn't completely extinguish their campfire or threw a cigarette in the dry bushes and it caught fire. I forgot the real story. So, I wrote a piece about it and it was published in a small journal, but afterwards I made a lot of changes to it several years later. #poetryoftheday#poetrycommunity#writersofinstagram#amomentintime#justpoetry#poemsdaily#instapoetry#poetry#poetrysociety
Autumn has hit its peak here in Bath, if you go down to the riverside you will find these beautiful trees along the river and they are just so stunningly beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing this Will (@will_hickey).

LONDON | 20.10.18 | South Kensington:
Did a little light touristing in my own city yesterday, braving the crowds of the museum district to explore the video games exhibition at the V&A 🎮
I booked tickets a few weeks ago and as it’s the week before payday, it’s always nice to have something that’s pre-paid for to stop my overdraft from looming too much.
The exhibition was brilliant, even for a non-gamer like me, and gave me such a new (and positive) perspective on a medium that predominantly only comes into my life via the Xbox-loving man I live with. It’s on until February so go and take a peek 👀
Anyone had a suitably geeky weekend too? 🤓 (We’ve also just watched Sacrifice by @derrenbrown and it is MENTAL! I feel like I’m just telling you all how to spend your free time, but...well, yeah, you should watch it anyway!) #DistractedinLondon

Washing leaves in the park to throw at daddy 🧡 2 days at work then some quality time with the muppets hoping the sun stays with us
Yay for long weekends & good vibes... how amazing has the weather been! Exciting things have been happening here, can't wait to show off the newest edition to our fam - we pick her up next week.
Adios Sunday 🙋♀️ #weekendvibes#ig_captures#adiossunday#luna
Spent the day in Brighton with @stevenmkelly which was great. I hadn’t been to Brighton for pleasure (work conferences don’t count) for years so it was nice to spend the day checking out various eateries and shops. Not long after this photo was taken a seagull stole my ice cream and I’ve felt personally victimised about it all day. Here’s to the end of summer and hello to my favourite every day autumn look
