Did you know Istanbul is the most populated city in all of Europe and the 4th most populated in the world? Can you guess the population? How about what the top 3 in the world are?
AND, my personal favorite fact, did you know that it is the ONLY city in the world where you can be in the same city but on two different continents? Can you guess which two they are?
Want to know one of the things I love about being in a new city? It's when I turn a corner or happen to look back and set my eyes on something like this. It's that feeling of "wowww, look at that" I get in my soul; It's that mesmerizing glisten that sparks in my eyes and transcends throughout my entire body: It's that enchanting, wondrous feeling of seeing something new for the very first time.
Here's the thing though guys, there is beauty like this all around us but we often get so used to seeing it in our daily lives that, quite frankly, we stop appreciating it as much as we would if we were seeing it for the first time. We become conditioned to our surroundings, passing by that garden, that tower, that temple, those mountains, that sunrise or sunset over the ocean, that face of the one we love most, without taking a moment to stop and say, "wow what a beautiful thing this/you are for me to see right now". While I try to be grateful for all the everyday beauty that surrounds me, I would be lying to say that I am not guilty of this too. I think we all are.
That said and to bring gratitude to the forefront today, I'm asking each of you to share with me at least one thing about your city and your life that makes it special and, more importantly, when was the last time you took the time to really appreciate it?
Beauty is everywhere and often right in front of us friends, the key is to open our eyes open and keep our hearts grateful by appreciating it.
Looking forward to all your answers ❤

Probably my favourite photo I took in Havana! I snapped it on my iPhone quickly when I saw these two cars approaching, but look how pretty it turned out! This was my favourite area of Havana 😍
