Funny what you dig out during moving houses. A floppy disk with my school holiday homework on it. An engagement invitation from a dear friend that I couldn't attend. Hilarious birthday card with tiny pink bunny slippers. A post card from dear friends in South Korea. A diary with a caution and a prayer I wrote for myself. And a list of things I wanted to keep on working towards.
Time never apologised to anyone. It never has and it never will.
The caution I wrote to myself a year and a half ago went unheeded and life took an expected turn.
From the vantage point of retrospect, I can't say whether it was for better or for worse. All I can say is that I cherish those days dearly.
Meet Anges. This character walked into the bar this afternoon wearing a hospital gown and rhinestone-embellished flip flops, with an IV catheter still in his arm. Assuming he walked out of the hospital, I called the cops, who came and picked him up. An hour later he comes back in street clothes, professes his undying love for me and asks me to marry him, giving me a hairbrush as a token of his affection. Only in #aliceaprings . You can't make this shit up. #storyoftheday
