I was planning to talk about how I just haven’t been motivated lately, I’ve been feeling blah for a week now. Maybe it’s the cold weather or less daylight or because I was sleeping on the couch because Ryan had the flu. But the point is that I was still getting up and getting my workout in, still keeping my focus on good nutrition. It’s easy when you’re motivated and on fire for it, but getting it done when you’re not feeling it is SO much more gratifying. That’s what I was gonna say.
Then I hit the bottom step in my commute to my gym 😜 and my two scoops of pre-workout kicked in. ⚡️ And I pressed play on my shoulders & HIIT workout and I freaking CRUSHED it. All out, 100% effort, upped my weights in every lift. And now I feel like I could take on the world. 🌎 Sending some of that your way. 👊🏼 Happy Thursday! 😎 #letsgetit

The girl on the left had finally started to call bullshit on the excuse that she didn’t have enough time to workout (I don’t know how many times I said, “I already have to get up at 5:00, I obviously can’t get up any earlier”...come on! ⏰). .
The girl on the right knows that this is nowhere close to the end. I’ve got more weight to lose, more strength to gain, more lessons to learn, and more excuses to push through. It’s never-ending. And I’m SO excited to see where I’ll be another nine months from now. I can tell you this, I’ll still be here, sharing my journey and what I’m learning.
We’re enrolling now for our November bootcamp. Will this be the month you join me?? ✨ I plan on enjoying some treats this holiday season but in moderation and rolling into the New Year already making progress, not trying to make up for two months of poor nutrition and laziness. Found a quick, easy, and delicious Instant Pot creamy tomato soup that gets its creaminess from butternut squash (surprise!). You can taste the butternut squash but I think it is a nice twist on the traditional tomato soup, AND the kids ate it! 😋🍅🥣 Plus, it was nice to have a few meals prepped for the week. 🤗

One new thing I did for myself this month was signing up for weekly meal swaps at my Bootcamp gym. I have my work day lunches ready to grab and healthy. This has been helping my life so much the past two weeks. No need to last minute cave with those French fries. #sarah2018goals#aewellnesstribe
By the time Sunday rolls around, I’ll have spent four evenings outside walking this week. So happy about this. Fall is 100% my jam and so is walking. I wish I had more time for it in my life on a more regular basis. For now, I’m sneaking it in whenever possible and that is enough.

So I’ve not done any exercise since my 5k run. This time of year is really hard for me, I battle to fit into the new season and feel all out of sorts. It’s something that happens every year and I come out the other side so I’m not stressing. Day 5 of #funnelcloudwalktober. 👶🏼🚶♀️After 4 days of sweaty walks, today was nice and cool and felt like fall. 🍂 My little passenger stayed awake the entire time looking around and checking out the world. 👀 And I listened to the third episode of Last Seen - now we wait for the next ep to be released. 🔎🖼 Looking forward to some family walks this weekend. It's the first day of #funnelcloudwalktober! Last October I set a goal to take a walk every day in October and ended up extending it to walk for 152 consecutive days of my pregnancy. (And then I got bigger, the weather got hotter, and my feet swelled up to the size of bread loaves and that was the end of my daily walking.) But now I'm back to do it again with my new walking buddy - we both need to get out of the house more, so 31 walks should be the perfect goal for me and my little guy. This Fall has already been tough on my gym schedule so I’m adapting the best I can. I’ve had to drop a couple lifting days for now (with not so many calories being burned each wk, I can see it in my midsection and trying to adjust my food more) and am focusing on walking more and rowing or other cardio those days. And this happened today. My first official timed run 🏃🏽♀️ I was so nervous and SO far out of my comfort zone. Running in front of people, out in the open, putting myself out there. Scary shit!! In fact I nearly stopped just around the first corner. I wanted a hole to open up and swallow me. But the marshals were lovely and encouraging and so kind. And I did it. And I got a new PB 😁 Gun time was 42m23s, garmin time was 42m10s and chip time was 42m. I’ll take them all!! It was later and it was fast paced and quick! But after a day of spending time with the kids (PD Day) and working on the house, I wanted to make sure I got some time in and I did!
Well tonight I went to post holiday weigh in and was so surprised to see a 2lb loss!! We did make pretty good food choices but did treat ourselves to a few yummy cheese plates after dinner. And a few drinks in the bar, oh and crepes with ice cream, whipped cream AND nutella. Actually I only had that once. Oh and we walked loads. Seriously pretty chuffed with that result. Will collect my 3stone award next week as I couldn’t stay tonight. #slimmingworld#slimmingworlduk#cjmfitjourney#aewellnesstribe
POSSIBILITY IS BEAUTIFUL. // There are 14 weeks left in the year. Let’s break that down:
1 pound a week = 14 pounds
2 pounds a week = 28 pounds
2.5 pounds a week = 35 pounds
14 pounds before New Year’s? Or 28...or 35?! .
Those 14 weeks include Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. But you know what? It’s SO DOABLE. I intend to bust ass through the end of the year, all through the holidays (hello, one cheat day a week!!). 💪🏼
Who wants to link arms and do this together? Because I intend to roll into the New Year already killing it, not trying to get back on the wagon after two months of eating trash and gaining weight. No thank you.

Finding my groove again after a weekend getaway and the return of all the kids (five of them from age 8 - 15). Took me a couple of false starts the last two days until I finally just designated the time and put my shoes on and walked out the door for my 3-mile loop at 2 in the afternoon (85 degrees outside). Giving myself permission to keep making the healthy choices that include rest + reading + family + work + food + exercise. A walk like that is enough to remind me that I feel better overall when I do it 😍. We all encounter transitions and changes and disruptions (of the good and hard sorts) as we go about our days. Let's show ourselves loving kindness in all areas of our lives - that's a huge part of this wellness journey for me. #aewellnesstribe
