Its been a while since I played my guitar, and I’m in the mood for some acoustic tunes. For years I’ve stayed away from acoustics as I have nothing but bad experiences with it. As I learned how to set up a guitar and tweak it to play the way I want it to play, I never knew what I’ve been missing. Also, my luthier @soxycustomguitars just finished a fully handmade custom OM for one of his clients and I want one for myself; with my choice of tonewoods, preferences and build - made me want to dive into the acoustic guitar world even more. Activities include: Skiing, dog sledding, ice fishing and snowshoeing during winter; kayaking, horseback riding and fishing during summer.

Hey y'all! Remember in November I did a 3 day sugar detox? I wanted to jumpstart my weight loss which despite exercise wasn't budging. I was indulging in wayyyy too much sugar. I also needed to breakup w my two a day coffee trips to Dunkin because that gets expensive!!! Also, my need for sugar ALL THE TIME was making me feel way too tired and achey..
After day 3, I was pretty excited with my results. I lost weight and was feeling great... but how would that pan out for the rest of the month? Was it sustainable? .
Cue actual life- Thanksgiving and a shit ton of traveling. Which basically means, I don't drink enough water and don't get enough exercise- I pretty much spend 15 HOURS A WEEK in my car. I eat out. .
BUT.... despite having a chaotic schedule, I went back to my regular FREEDOM eating plan. I can't count calories or macros. Like- I can barely count how many kids are at my house that I'm responsible for during this chaos... lol. I also choose not to spend all of my free moments at home food prepping. I just knew that I'd use what I have learned in my nutrition program and go from there. And that's exactly what I did.
I ate, I did some exercise, I enjoyed the holiday and the travel. .
So here we are 36 days later, 20 plus pounds down and the weight seems to be shedding off. Why? My nutrition is on point- not 100% but a good 80% of the time despite ALL THE EXCUSES of my chaotic life. You have a choice ya know! .
I am going to be doing another 3 day sugar detox and intro to my freedom food plan right after Christmas before I start working out in the test group with my main man @shaunt. .
