Today (8.18.18) is what’s known as First Quater in the Moon Cycle, which means the moon is a quarter through its orbit of the Earth.
We are in the 8th day since the New Moon.
Today is a great day to think about what you want to focus on to manifest and these next few days take some action towards that goal. No matter how small, the universe and stars and the moon are all aligned in your favour... but the moon is literally in your court, you gotta act.

Plot: A group of operatives must smuggle a foreign asset 22 miles from the U.S embassy to an extraction point in order to prevent a catastrophic event.
Review: Mile 22 is a good example of a film that could have ended up being a classic instead of a confusing, mind numbing 90 minute action mess.
First things first, Mark Wahlberg's neurotic, fast paced performance of a no holds barred a-hole operative is just too much. Most of the time he was talking, you just want him to be quiet already. Less would have definitely been more. Second, the film was way too short for the complex story. In theory, the concept was great but by not giving the story time to develop, the bulk of the film's story is just sloppy. Finally, in the words of Ken Wantabe's Godzilla character, "Let them fight". If there was anything I was looking forward to the most was martial arts action star Iko Uwais. The way his fight scene was shot and edited undercuts and underutilizes Uwais's talent and skill as a martial artist. What should have been the film's best scene, ended being a confusing headache inducing mess.
The bright spots in this movie were the performances of Lauren Cohan and Iko Uwais. Cohan brought depth and realism to Alice Kerr, who is not only a badass operative but also a mother in the middle of a custody battle. Yes I know it sounds like a lot, but it definitely works in the film. As for Iko Uwais, sure his martial arts skill was wasted but he could definitely hold his own as an actor and his steely cool performance adds to the mystery of his character, Li Noor.
The marketing for Mile 22 came and went like a blur, and one can definitely see why. In the right hands, Mile 22 could have been up there with the recent hits like of John Wick or Mission Impossible: Fallout, but in the end it is very forgettable. But at least I got $5 that I can use at the concessions.
Rating: 2 out of 5

Don't let the expectations and opinions of other people affect your decisions. It's your life, not theirs. Do what matters most to you; do what makes you feel alive and happy. Don't let the expectations and ideas of others limit who you are. If you let others tell you who you are, you are living their reality — not yours. There is more to life than pleasing people. There is much more to life than following others' prescribed path. There is so much more to life than what you experience right now. You need to decide who you are for yourself. Become a whole being.
Low-key one of the best/most well-written sci-fi movies in recent memory, and easily one of my top 5 this year.
❓: No questions… if you haven’t seen it, see it!
2018 has been an ehh year for Sci-Fi. Since Annihilation I’ve been waiting patiently for a movie, any movie, to fill my sci-fi void. Upgrade is my answer. Writer/director Leigh Whannell (of Saw and Insidious fame) wrote the shit out of what could have been a standard sci-fi story, twisting it into one of the most dynamic and objectively enjoyable movies this year irrelevant of genre.
👍 : Logan Marshall-Green is fantastic; CGI is great; story is just generally enjoyable.
👎 : Deserves to do way better than it has.
Genre: #Horror / #SciFi / #Action
Conclusion: makes Tau and Ghost in the Shell look like middle school film projects. Shit ones at that.
