Two worlds collide.
My family got to meet my other family, my World Race America team.
It was really hard for me to keep my family updated while I went on my Race last year. I realized that I wanted to do that better this time around. The Lord is SO GOOD and created an opportunity for my team to come stay at my house for a night.
My family got to experience World Race culture a little bit and see how we work as a community of believers.
For now, I am staying back for a week to hang with my family as my team goes to Louisiana, then we will head to Austin.
We are 3 months into this thing, which is insane. 8 more to go and tons of stories waiting to be told.
YAY GOD! .
7 months of living in the bus🙌 and we've learnt A LOT!
We've lived though 7 months of renovations (so far), 4 months without a toilet, 3 season changes, 3 floods, 2 floor plans, 2+ weeks of frozen water lines, a near electrical fire, a broken down heating system and countless other nuisances, but you know what?....... Its been the best time of our lives❤
1) As much as we hate to admit it, you really can't fit a bathtub in a short bus. Or more specifically, other things take precedence.
2) Windows are key!... But so is privacy.
3) Running water is the sh*t! And so is a toilet!
4) Sometimes your waterlines freeze. (Unless you have insulated/heated hose, which we do not). Also, the more insulation the better. Don't cheap out like we did😬
5) A dinning area takes precedence over a couch.
6) Counter space is key.
7) Plan out a space for EVERYTHING. If you dont you'll end up with random things tucked everywhere (batteries and toothbrushes in your cutlery drawer for instance)
8) Bus life teaches you what you can (and can't!) live without. We wanted to live as minimal as possible, but it's not a competition. The trick is finding space for everything you need AND everything you want.
9) Only one person can be in any "space" at a time. Taking turns and giving each other a wide berth makes #buslifepossible
10) Nothing is ever set in stone. If your space isn't working for you, change it! That's the perks of owning your own home! And at the end of the day, isn't that what it's all about?! Have any questions? I'll try and help!

This is the end result of the spray painting I made for our ceiling in the van. The weather was 30 degreese and I was boiling outside but the end result suprised even me 🙈
Spending a few more days in warmer weather before heading back into the snow! We have been hearing so many good things about Mammoth and Tahoe. Can’t wait to get up north and finish out the ski season strong! Which resort is your favorite?! Share with us in the comments 🙌 #vanlife#advantures#roamtheplanet#valleyoffire#nevadastateparks
❤️ LOVING THE MOROCCAN COAST ❤️ The Moroccan coast down from Essaouira is a pleasant surprise!😍🏄♀️🏄♂️ Our third stop, Taghazout, is a perfect little town. Cute beaches, nice little bars (western and morrocan style), surfshops and narrow streets with little shops.
The biggest issue in wintertime is cooking. Sometimes it’s way to cold to make a bbq. And when we cook inside have to turn on both roof vents to get out all steam and smell which make it quite cold inside 🥶 Probably we will have to build small exhaust hood in the kitchen 😅 How do you deal with it? Do you have exhaust hood in the kitchen? Or you cook always outside doesn’t matter what weather? captured by: @lenihippiebus#ThisisVanlifeing

Because I haven’t posted current pictures of the bus.. here’s what molly looks like right now. Getting some things put together to start repairs up again this fall. New awning, carpentry in the kitchen, plumbing, electric.. rebuilds are fun but they don’t come without there fair share of problems lol. I’ve hit a brick wall on the inside with the plumbing and electric aspect of the rebuild but I’ve got some ideas on how that can be overcome! #buslife#rebuild#molly#1983winniebago#conversion#plumbing#electric#progress#vanlife#tinyhouse
* grumble grumble * Two weeks into owning the van... we got tagged. I mean yeah — it’s Philly. I can’t even say we were surprised. If anything it’s our fault for expecting a giant roaming white canvas to not get messed with.
After a quick search, we learned that regular carnauba wax (in liquid form) is the trick. This stuff just liquified the paint with very little effort and didn’t damage the van at all. After an hour of combined elbow grease, it all came off without a trace. Lesson learned - don’t be low hanging fruit. 😤
Designing a functional custom #homeonwheels is our biggest priority.
Our Beach House Layout keeps an open floor plan with a full bathroom and convertible table/bed area. There’s ample storage for all of your needs with the dresser, closet and upper cabinets.
This is definitely our favorite layout and it’s not hard to see why 😍
Bienvenido Bruce 🖤 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After years without finding the right moment this little fella has come to our life by surprise and without planning. Let us introduce you to Bruce, the new member of our family. You were love at first sight and that’s all you’ve given since the first second (alongside many bitten trousers). We are really looking forward to living this life with you. Welcome home Bruce 🖤
We’ve almost lived in this bus in a scrap yard for a year now and it’s strange to us how normal it has felt. I’m sure this will be one of the most memorable chapters in our lives, but we may look back and just think what on earth were we up to? 😂

Sunny days spent at the park with these two while we’re stuck in Fresno for a bit 😍 When we were in San Diego a couple months back, I was walking Ella at a park when she quickly locked eyes with another dog and insisted on saying hello. After a few minutes, we went our separate ways and that was that. The next day though, we were at the same park and I suddenly heard someone yelling. When I turned, @keepingfinn was in a full sprint towards the friend he recognized from the day before. Fast forward and now we’ve actually caravanned several places together. I have a very similar story for almost all the friends I’ve made on the road. Ella never fails to introduce me to people that I otherwise would be missing out on. She breaks the ice with ease and greets them with a huge smile when I probably would’ve just kept to myself in the moment. I don’t know what I did to deserve this life or this girl but damn, I better keep doing it.
Morning views 😍⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
