Astana, the young capital of Kazakhstan🇰🇿 is not among the top tourist destinations of the world but if you're going to visit this country don't miss the opportunity to walk around the city.
Before the capital was relocated, Astana had been called Tselinograd and looked very different. But after 1997 a new history of the city began. People say that Astana was designed by the world's best architects.
Now the new part of the city would remind Dubai or maybe Baku with their wide avenues and morden architecture.
The symbol of Astana is the Bayterek monument.
It was built as a symbol of the capital relocation and symbolizes the "tree of life" which holds the earth with its roots and props the sky with its crown.
Another interesting building is the Hazret Sultan cathedral mosque, the largest mosque in Central Asia.
Of course, there are other interesting objects in the city and it is very pleasant to just walk in the warm season along the new streets.
So, if you like modern architecture and new places add Astana to your travel wish-list. ✈️It's easy to get there. Astana Airport serves flights from 50 different cities in 20 countries.
