Traveling. Can be done with our feet, a bike, a train, boat, plane, but I know for a fact that the cost expences on plane tickets are getting cheaper. More and more people are choosing to fly by plane, me included, and it is also for a fact, the least sustaiable way to travel. I find it difficult to defend, and I have to admit that it can often feel double-moral in the context of what I stand for. My brain is instantly trying to defend my own actions (which is very human to do), and it gave me a new and interesting perspective, to sort of ease my conscience. There is many reasons for traveling, it can be just for fun & party, but it can also be to experience different culture, to learn and grow, to see that there is different ways of living, to observe poverty and injustice, to visit eco-villages, meet heart opening and open minded people, to discover new ways of thinking etc... All of these things WILL make an impact, and many of these experiencec will be life changeing for some. I believe that traveling can make such a big impact on our lifes, that in the long run, we will do- and be more good (to other human being, to our planet, animals and our self) if we did not have that journey. What I’m saying is, there is no need to punish our self for traveling by plane, but to find our own sustainable balance is alfa omega. Is it actually possible to justify plane-traveling in this way, or should we all just step up our game, and don’t go to the other side of the world? I would love to hear your thoughts on this 🤷🏻♀️🌎✈️
There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that is your own self.

It’s that time of the year for all the Black Nazarene devotees to flock to Ground Zero and participate in the annual Traslación.
Last year, and courtesy of legendary photo-journalist @jilson.tiu, we posted this image of a sea of Black Nazarene devotees, each of them struggling to be close and touch what is believed to be a miraculous statue.
Celebrated every 9th of January, the day-long procession reenacts the statue's traslación (which literally means 'transfer') from Intramuros de Manila to the Minor Basilica in 1787. As always, it is expected that the 6.9-kilometer procession will draw more than half a million devotees this year. 🙏🏼🇵🇭
How can something fall down and die yet it can still add beauty to its surroundings?
