Lost in thought and lost in time,
While the seeds of life and the seeds of change were planted
Definitely one for the books ☀️⚓
Is it just me or did this year just FLY by ?! Still can't get over the fact that 2019 is just a couple weeks away.
I've never been one for new years resolutions (new year, new me? Definitely not in my case, new year, but most certainly same me 😂), but as I get older I'm learning to be more mindful of checking in with myself - where am I in my life? What are my goals? What I can do / am I doing to reach those goals?
2018 was a year of discovery and exploration - learning new skills and discovering (some of) my passions. Here's to 2019 being a year of actively focusing on developing those passions.
As cliche as it may sound, the best is most certainly yet to come.
👋🏽 @thebroadplace i hope we co create in 2019. here’s some words that resonate. thank you for your daily words in my inbox they bring me joy 💫. ‘We live pretty magnificent lives, and it’s not because ‘it just happens’. We are not lucky, although we are fortunate. We work at it. We get creative and clear around how we want to live, and then we go for it. There’s honesty, lightness, determination, joy, frustration with bumps in the road, and a hell of a lot of flow for all this to occur.
You cannot have it all at once, but with the right planning, you can have it all across time.
So for everyone that thinks ‘planning means I am not in the present moment’, move past that. Planning allows you to actually BE in the present moments! When we are anxious, unclear, overwhelmed and exhausted because we didn’t make a clear, creative plan, we are not able to be in the present moment.’ 🌊☁️🍃✨. #morningthoughts#justbreathe
I love staircases.
To me, they represent a constant change which leads nobody knows where exactly. Climbing the stairs is an exiting experience with thoughts racing and the surroundings always changing. What is more, when you climb them, you feel yourself a part of the building, a part of something bigger.
That's why, I think, the stairs are the perfect symbol of life: we move, we evolve and no one knows how this all will end. We think and change and we are always a part of something bigger than us: our family, nation, time, history of the planet.
What is more, the staircases generally tend to be one of the most interesting architectural elements.
Have you been to the Iao Valley in Hawaii? "Most people take the short walk up to see the Iao Needle, an iconic green-mantled rock outcropping in the distance," says Avioner @jamieout. "This is a perfect place to snap a photo or to cool off in the streams below. The valley is often covered in clouds, so early morning is your best chance to see the valley and in particular, the Iao Needle." The moment you enter you are just reminded of great patriots Veer Sarvakar and Bahukeshwar Dutt who along with other Indians struggled for our Independence. Today we are moving freely in this independent India because of those patriots who lost their lives because of inhuman tortures some examples being; they were forced to drink urine, treated like animals, made to grind oil for continuous hours at a stretch, forced to sleep in 4-1 room less than the size of an adult human body, no water supply for drinking, no light, no food, and only work and work, these all practices are highlighted in the light and sound show. But still they had a sole aim and motto “ sar katega par jhukega nai”, it’s the freedom fighters who made are life worth living in a free, independent nation. We bow our heads with great reverence.
The Cellular Jail is situated in Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, It was built from 1896 to 1906. It is also called “KAALA PAANI” as it symbolizes darkness and suffering. It serves as a perfect epitome of the torturous practices of the British rulers over the innocent Indians. The Cellular Jail building had seven wings and at the center a tower was situated to act as the intersection, its purpose was to keep watch by the guards, each wing had three stories. There were no dormitories and a total of 693 cells. Each cell was 4.5 metres x 2.7 metres or 13.5×7.5 feet in size with a ventilator located at a height of three metre. No prisoner could see each other or converse with each other, they could only see black walls.
such an epic view! Fantastic photo and congratulations on your feature @philippheigel .

It’s open to everyone, not just hotel guests, so definitely check it out if you’re in Portland on a Sunday! #wonderfullyrewarding#RSJSinPortland
