This time of year the island is 😍
It’s not just the beaches or thermal hot springs, and it’s not just the diving, fishing or the fact that the whole place is ‘off grid’, it’s that this entire island takes your breath away.
come see for yourself!

The Clearest of Skies 🌌
Another shot from this epic night of astro at Mount Cook National Park! I was taking photos for about 3 hours on my own and did not get bored for a second, looking up at the stars and our galaxy during exposures was pure bliss!
Sky: 25 secs, f2.8, ISO 10,000.
Foreground: 353 secs, f2.8, ISO 2000.
Thunderstorms this evening at the bottom of the North Island.

Our punts have all got names, but where did these names come from? Some of our punts are named after the first ships that arrived into the Port of Lyttelton (Charlotte and Jane) and some after the rivers they have been used on (Taylor and Otakaro).
Others are named after British royalty (Albert, Elizabeth, Victoria and Mary) and some even closer to home are named after staff’s loved ones (Stella and Emma).
Did you know we can cater for your next social or corporate event? Here is a shot of a previous function we have had here at the summit.
Speak to us today about your next big event.
“A dream is your creative vision for your life in the future. You must break out of your current comfort zone and become comfortable with the unfamiliar and the unknown.”
Constantly reminding myself how much I love to watch the sunrise with a cup of tea. To grab my camera out and get lost in capturing the moments in front of me. To climb a mountain to be rewarded with views like this and to be empowered by the achievement. 💛 How's everyone's week going?! 😀
Do you feel relaxed?
At the end of each day we take you to a natural thermal hot spring to help you relax, recover and de-stress.
This pool is warm in temperature but it’s deep and there’s a warm waterfall entering at the other end.
The people I’ve shown are forever grateful for this experience, the moss and ferns that surround this pool make you feel like nature herself is embracing you.
We can drop you at the start of the best tracks on the island and pick you up at the other end or we can do full day guided rides and even overnighters using one of the doc huts here on the island.
You can fly from Auckland with your bike for an extra $50 or you can use one of our new 2019 Trance full suspension bikes free during your stay.
Our bikes and SUP boards are included in our weekend package price’s, we don’t hire our equipment to the public ensuring you have full use of the equipment during your stay, whenever you’d like.
Website/booking coming March 2019.

📍New Zealand 🚐🌏 #vanlife working it's magic. Honestly, I was a bit apprehensive to take the plunge into van living, having become accustomed to guesthouses and air bnbs in Asia. After a fairly brief 3 month stint of van living in Oz back in 2014, I remembered a lot of ups and a few downs..I was a lot younger back then I thought and maybe tougher! This time around, @dazventures and I had spent time living in the same area for over 4 years and had an underlying yearning to explore again - we'd worked the 9-5 and felt more than ready to hit the road again. 5 weeks in, I can honestly say it was the right decision. We spent a little time choosing the right vehicle within our budget and off we went. Living in a van allows us to travel and see remote parts off NZ we would otherwise miss. Open roads, full moons, starry skies, gushing waterfalls, sunsets, sunrises and new people to encounter. Taking photographs and writing everyday, being creative and feeling inspired. There is no packing and unpacking - everything is with us, always. Of course with the ups come the downs - but the highs sure outway them. We probably will settle someplace else for a while but for now, van living is the perfect way to explore this beautiful country, working along the way. Some may think we're having some sort of crazy crisis and running away from a 'normal life'.. all I can say is life is very short and and I want to explore the world while we still can, it's not to escape problems. There is nothing wrong with breaking the mould of society a bit and squishing it around or dancing around the box. Just like there is nothing wrong with those who choose a more traditional way of life. Life is yours to create. Big love if you're still reading this 💙
