1️⃣ Choose menu items that include vegetables
2️⃣ Choose items that have been grilled, stewed or steamed. Crispy, breaded, battered are all words suggesting fried.
3️⃣ Portions are sometimes bigger than your appetite. Listen to your hunger and fullness cues. Avoid the temptation to overeat. Save half for later or make it a share plate.
4️⃣ Ask your server if they can customize a dish, don't be afraid to ask for less salt or sauce or extra veggies. .
Just a mid-week teaser of a new favorite recipe we've been working on! It's a slow cooker teriyaki chicken (and of course you can make it in the Instant Pot too)! The sauce is sweetened with dates and has no soy or other icky additives. You can pair it with all your favorite veggies and even turn it into a bowl! Duh! 🤣 You know I love a good bowl meal! In this one it's just mixed greens, white and the teriyaki chicken. So simple, yet so satisfying! Hope you're having a great week so far!
