Snakes and other reptiles/amphibians are always on my radar but I’m almost never lucky with them. While looking rather mean and intimidating, they usually look for cover when spotted which is almost always the case with turtles. This individual was hanging on a big piece of driftwood along a small river bank and was kind enough to let me take a dozen or so photos. Herpers, please let me know if I goofed on the ID of this bruiser. 🐍

Probably one of the most scenic swings I’ve ever been on. Whoever built this swing sure had the right idea about where they placed it. I loved spending some time here (minus the sandflies) watching the sun go down over the mountains that surrounded us, just in awe of a place like no where else I’ve visited before ✨ Where was the last place that you visited that took your breath away?
