We thought, We dreamt, We believed, We dared!
Kudos to the United Sikhs contingent, to have scaled and conquered Mount Kinabalu!
We remain thankful to God, to nature to have allowed us to be in its lap, challenging our minds and body, and extend our passion for fitness to achieve a social cause! We thank all who supported us to make this mission a success!
When mind decides, and heart believes, the body follows! Trailing through 3200 meters rough climb, -1 degree Celsius, torrential rain, sore legs, the only thing that drives you is determination to keep going! The more tougher it gets, the more tough your body is battling with your mind! But I learnt, when everything is against you, the only belief that keeps you going is that you have already "arrived!" Lastly, my take home lesson, you start getting that heavenly feel, when you reach the top, everything else is below you, and then I realized, that 4095 meters is just a number, a limit, and road to perfection has no limits, perfection is "being there!". And honestly, "there" is not constant. Once you achieve one height, it's time to plan for the next! Amen to that!!
An incredible morning spent with the elephants at the Karen Elephant Experience in Chang Mai. KEE is a sanctuary for elephants who previously worked in trekking camps and/or for illegal loggers who are now able to roam free in something close to their natural habitat. Whilst sadly (due to their previous captivity) they are past the point of reintroduction into the wild, the elephants clearly do enjoy their new lives and you could really see the bond between the elephants and their mahouts. We were given the opportunity to feed, wash and play with the elephants who were visibly happy, treated with respect and well taken care of.
WARNING: The next few days of posts are going to be primarily about food! First in the city locals call KL (Kuala Lumpur). We intended to visit KL when we lived in Jakarta a few years ago, but didn’t have time. So this trip we couldn’t resist a brief visit. While here we’ve hit the hot spots, including @dewakanmy . It has an ultra-creative take on Southeast Asian and South Asian dishes, and is on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2019 list. Dinner was phenom and cannot be missed for any food enthusiast passing through Southeast Asia. More photos in my Story or Malaysia Highlights.

The sun is stationary in the universe (in a way, the galaxy arms of stars are actually moving by gravity around the center star clusters and black holes there, as well as the universe expanding) but from the perspective of earth ☀️ it is. The earth spins as it goes around the sun in the familiar way we take for granted. And every second of every day you move into a different space compared to all that. .
