Good Morning! It has been a week! A week I really wish I could say that I felt strong and fearless, but really I felt weak and helpless for a few days there. After Dopey I felt amazing and my body was recovering better than the previous 2 marathons I have run, but Tuesday night hit with a crazy stomach bug and fever and I was out. I can’t remember being that sick from a bug in a while. I finally started to feel mostly recovered yesterday afternoon, and promptly began bleaching every surface in our house. But I can’t look at last week as a black hole because I also celebrated 2 years working from home, completed the most difficult running challenge I’ve ever attempted, and was able to celebrate both with family. Most days I don’t feel strong or fearless, but sometimes I think just the act of trying something new or continuing to challenge ourselves shows more strength to others than we would ever know. I hope you find a way today to be strong and fearless. @rawthreadsathletics#brandrep#sponsored#ad#runnersofinstagram#athleticwear#bestrongandfearless#dopeychallenge#rawthreads#rawthreadsclub#mantras#nolatank#wdwmarathon#runflorida#runorlando#rundisney#runhorizonwest
Bin ich der Einzige?
Nach Läufen bei Temperaturen unter 5 Grad kratzt mir regelmäßig der Hals. 🤔
Ich hab dann immer gleich schiss mir die nächste Erkältung abzuholen.
Dick einpacken, Bonbon lutschen, nichts hilft bisher.
Vielleicht sollte ich mehr trinken beim laufen?
Habt ihr Erfahrung damit?
Könnt ihr mir was empfehlen?
Whitley Bay Parkrun ✅ Check out my “wind burn” face 🤭⠀
I had set out to do Rising Sun but as it was cancelled because of ice I headed out to the coast! Woah headwind alert 🌪😩⠀
I made it to the start just in time after picking up @guysmith1982 barcode and having to drive back home to get mine. Then shift it back down the coast like a maniac!⠀
No time to warm up and I made the epic mistake of starting massively far back! Not ideal when there was a record 555 people taking part and very narrow first few paths! ⠀
The first mile was shocking because of the lack of warm up and crowds but I got round under 23 minutes on my watch! And the biggest surprise 3rd overall lady.⠀
I’m definitely still working off the December binges and lack of training , but I got out of bed at least 🏃🏼♀️
Actually did a 5km run this week, hopefully will get one in tomorrow too. This run was done in the middle of a 5km walk with hubby. I ran laps around the park while he waited. Got two records in that heat which amazed me considering how unmotivated I have been. Just goes to show what you can do if you mentally push yourself to get it done! Happy weekend everyone 😎 #gettingitdone#runnersofinstagram#garmin#onrunningshoes#lovetorun
Seja dura consigo mesma, mas também se recompense. Se dê um tapinha nas costas, um elogio, um "bom trabalho". .
#REDJanuary : Day 16 - Evening Run 🏃🏻♂️ ♥️ I finished today strong with a fairly easy-going run. With going back to work recently I had taken today off to allow myself and my body to recover so have not done a huge amount by my high standards. It’s important to rest when you need to, but I also know what is good for my mind... and what is good for my mind is to finish the day with a short run. I prefer to run either early in the morning or later in the evening because these are the times of day when I struggle the most mentally. Running is a form of therapy for me.. it allows me to unwind, let go, and burn off any negative energy. I always feel so much better after a run - even the shorter ones.
Today my mind completely drifted off and has inspired me to write something this evening. It’s amazing how your mind can drift off in to the strangest places. Running/Exercise can do that - it can inspire creativity and deeper thinking as well as being a good distraction from the stresses of day-to-day life! I am now going to start work on writing.. I have to be honest I’m a little bit apprehensive about this one but I’m going to do it anyway! 📝
Park Run 🌳
Just a nice, easy plod this morning for my second run of the day 🙌🏽 Can anyone recommend a good Park Run in the London area for next Sat (26/1) please? I need to ✔ off one more @parkrunuk tourism this month! 🌳

A return to Hackney @parkrunuk, it’s been 4 months since the last visit.
Benchmarking with 12 weeks out. Patience and adaption ruling over anything.
While you are enjoying a beer/glass of wine/sofa/netflix or anything else this weekend, remember that someone is pushing the limits and sweating out there. Not to make you feel guilty or anything, just saying. Take time to discover outdoor adventures that are waiting for you!
