The main issue with both productions, according to Ja Rule, is the manner in which the directors sourced their information. Ja Rule believes that any inquisition from an outside source paid for with cash should be viewed separately - or with a grain of salt. He made his feelings known in several @-directed Twitter exchanges.
"I love how ppl watch a doc and think they have all the answers,” he said "Hulu PAID BILLY!!! That money should have went to the ppl in the Bahamas," he pointed out. Hulu paid Billy McFarland for the privilege to interview him in Fyre Fraud, later citing social media company Fuckjerry as another part of the Fyre collusion to receive a stipend for their participation (by Netflix). Hulu later commented that Ja Rule actually declined when asked to contribute to their project.
Ja Rule wants everyone to know that he's only human, and if given the option the do right by the World, he'd never say never. "Let's think of how to dig ourselves out of this shit, man," he wrote after doing the rounds on Twitter. "We didn't kill anybody, nobody got hurt. We made a mistake, we'll get past it."
