#WCW I am proud of the woman I have become and becoming. I released my PAIN and embraced my PURPOSE so that I could help other victims and survivors overcome and be victorious! I thank God for this journey. It has been nothing short of amazing! Doors are being opened faster than I can blink and I pray that when it's all said and done that God is proud of the work he has given me to do! Let's learn a new word today!
The word of the day for meeting #330 is : Resilience.
Resilience is a word that can be used both in positive and negative connotation(Hence, it is highlighted in blue). The adjective form of resilience is resilient.
We encourage the members to learn a new word every week and make the best use of it in the upcoming meeting.😊
A sample sentence would be:
Resilient individuals are better able to handle adversity and rebuild their lives after a catastrophe.
Now that you know the word, can you frame a sentence with this word?
After I had ovarian cancer in 1998, I saw a gynecological oncologist for 5 years, along with blood tests and scans 2X a year. I was 32. Looking back, I can confidently say I was naive, young, and didn’t realize the severity of my health situation (probably a good thing). Fast forward, the day before my dad had surgery to treat prostate cancer, my mother found out she had breast cancer (2003) Years later we are all survivors with one thing in common- our genes 🧬 Fast forward, to my 50th birthday and I had just made @ww lifetime. After a year on maintenance, I changed #mywhy 💗 I realized I was getting older and needed to focus on my health and taking care of me. I got smart on wellness and the importance of good health, keeping weight off, positive mindset, and movement/exercise -and -how all of these aspects of the program are necessary for me to continue to manage in my life in order to live my best life, decreasing my chances for any cancer to return. Following the WW program, gives me ☮️PEACE OF MIND knowing I’m balancing everything I need to be healthy, happy and well. And lastly, because of my family history, I’m also a huge supporter of 🧬Genetic testing and Relay For Life 💟💜🎗 If you want to know why sometimes I seem so hardcore and tough on myself, this is why. Because of #mywhy 🎗I want control of my wellness so I don’t have to hear the word cancer again. .
Incase you were wondering, this picture is three awareness ribbons that represent our cancers in our family — my dad in the middle, my mom and I on the sides with his arms around us. This picture is just perfect to represent me /us.
Positivity rocks! Last night in our Managing Emotions course we talked about resilience. We all have difficulties to get through in life, that’s part of being human. We can face life’s challenges however, with a positive attitude. We thought about things in life that we find hard and then came up with some positive affirmations 😊 #resilience :

THE RESILIENT WOMAN
What does not destroy me makes me strong - Friedrich Nietzsche.
She was young and beautiful although her life experiences made her look way beyond her years, you could still see the beauty in her eyes and her smile when it was obvious that her heart didn't feel the expression on her face.
Having been abandoned as a child, became a mother long before she could understand what motherhood entailed, struggled her way through a short yet chaotic marriage, she still somehow managed to hold down three jobs to ensure her kids got all they needed.
The tender smiles on the faces of her kids reassured her of a better tomorrow each time it seemed like that was it.
There were times she thought she wouldn't make it through; All she wanted to do was throw in the towel.
Other times, she wanted life itself to end but through the storm, the the fire, the rain, through the heartbreak, abuse, pain, tears, rejection, hurt and even through the shame, she kept pressing. Instead of letting the negative experiences break her, she let them shape her for the better.
Like this lady, you may have gone through or may be going through hell at this point in your life. Take a deep breath; You've got this. Will you choose to be broken or to be built by it all? You choose how it ends.
DARE to begin. DARE to be different. DARE to excel. Today allow yourself to be EXTRAORDINARY. In the words of Warrren Buffett “Your PREMIUM brand had better be delivering something special.” #dare#extraordinary#premium#brand
When life gives you teddy-bear sunflowers.. Smile from ear to ear 🌻
The last two days I’ve been feeling real GOOD, I have more energy, I’m even back training, I’m eating really well & I’ve got perfect fresh blonde hair again thanks to @_edwardsandco - talk about SELF LOVE & feeling Uber grateful for moments like these.
Thanks for having my back, Universe 🙏🏼🤗
What if you just tried one more time, and that was the time you finally had a breakthrough - in life, your finances, business or an opportunity? What if you miss the greatest opportunity of your life because you didn’t want to try one more time?☝🏼 Be proud of your failures; they show that your belief in yourself trumped the doubters so many times that they disappeared. It won’t be one misstep or two, it’ll be a lot more than most of us expect. But remember that each one contains a lesson
Failures are the stepping stones to success. There will always be that person who doesn’t like you for their own reasons. Who cares? You’ll surprise them all the more when you reach the top. Keep that energy alive when things don’t go your way, and the world will realize that maybe things SHOULD go your way. 🌎
Let’s make a habit of persevering this year. It’s not about strength - it’s about being so stubborn that when you feel yourself about to give up, you find that voice inside you that forces you to keep going because you HAVE to get it done to be content
10 years difference.
To be fair, this is a New Years getup vs a just-woke-up-let-me-test-the-face-recognition-on-my-new-phone-oh-my-gawd-it-worked. But also, a divorce and a surgery and admission to a major anxiety problem and plain aging has meant I wake up looking different than I did 10 years ago. And that’s ok 👍
#Resilient kids don’t need a constant stream of praise, but many parents create dependence on external props by praising too much. The solution? Teach your kids #selfvalidation and #introspection. Instead of saying “Wow that was AWESOME Johnny!” Say something like “How are you feeling about that? If I were you, I’d be proud of my work!” Then encourage him to label his own #emotions and #validate himself. Otherwise, #praisejunkies encounter the #realworld and they are pretty devastated, #anxious and #depressed. #Resilient kids aren’t #dependent on external props to feel okay. Background: I am now reaping the benefits of the life I wanted for myself. What I cultivated and felt I deserved. I have mixed emotions happiness, sadness, but most of all gratitude for today. After yoga class tonight I sat in my car & felt the now. I can’t believe just 4 months ago I was picking the pieces of what remained of myself off the floor.
Caption Story - He stumbled and fell. And for a second there he just sat still. I got scared and worried if he would ever get up. He took sometime, but then without any help, he got up. He brushed the mud from his sides, cracked a joke about his fall and got back to his work. And it is with this spirit of his that I fell in love. He keeps falling and failing time and again. But each time, he gets up, cracks a joke and moves forward.
Regardless of your outside circumstances, you are

The arch of the foot is maintained both by its structure (bones, ligaments) as well as controlled by various muscles crossing it
One of those muscles supporting it is the big toe 👣 flexor, meaning the muscle that curls the big toe and runs under the arch
Here is a little drill to work on strength in the arch, the big toe flexor in particular
The key 🔑 here is to think about pushing your big toe down and trying not to let any part of foot dip below the level of the plates
Start with the other foot supporting and over time work your way up to just being on the targeted foot 👣
Work on getting a 10 second hold in this order⬇️
-other foot flat on ground✅
-other foot up on toes✅
-other foot elevated✅
Tag a friend who needs some foot strength 👣💪
If you’re up for the challenge go and give these a try, post a video of it and tag me in it 🙋🏼♂️
Repeat after me...
I am fearless.
I am strong.
I am powerful.
I am resilient.
I am determined.
I am motivated.
I am unstoppable.
This is your daily mantra. This is what pushes you through the long, sh*tty days. The days stress overwhelm your being. The nights you cry till you sleep. The mornings you collapse from exhaustion. You stand back up. You fight through the negative emotion and you search deep in your heart for the greatness you know you're capable of. You remind yourself of your strengths and you keep your eyes on your goals. No one steps in your way, push the negativity to the side. Breathe. I can't stress breathing enough. This is your time to shine my friends..
