Been so lucky to ski in 4 states the last two months. Had a great trip with the boys to Washington! #rainier#skiordie

I figured I would throw in a different perspective of Mt. Rainier since it's been a relative while since I shared a mountain image.

"I love this story. ‘Flip Flap Try . . . A Cardinal’s Journey’ tells the story of Rainer, a little cardinal trying to find his place in the world. The importance of persistence and reaching out to others for help are expertly woven throughout the narrative. This is a must read for younger children to help them instill important life-long positive mindsets." -- Michael Davis, Author of THE Book on Storytelling
The journey of Rainier has touched many people, will you be the next? --

Monday’s seem to be our hike day and we have been so lucky to have such spectacular weather!
As they say, something worth having is worth waiting for. I had a crush on Lukas for over 2.5 years before we started dating. And when we began our relationship.. it was the start of fire season which meant that he worked nearly every single day for 6 months straight. So, I am absolutely cherishing every single day we get to spend together during the off season 🥰
You'll do just fine without Mt. Rainier National Park this winter.
Between Packwood and Yakima, there's 1.5 hrs of dramatic scenery, food, weather changes and rebellious melodies. (Eat your heart out, Coltrane!) In order: Clear Fork of the Cowlitz River; Mt Rainier from Hwy 12 near White Pass; the dry Eastern foothills of the Cascades; the chattiest bird you ever did hear; tamales from Los Hernandez in Union Gap, and the Palisades just east of Packwood.
Don't chase after people's approval. Don't depend on your plans. Don't make decisions; let decisions make themselves. Free yourself of concepts; don't believe what you think. Embody the inexhaustible. Wander beyond all paths. Receive what you've been given and know that it is always enough.- The Tao
This is another recent one from Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National forest. I hope everyone is well.
There’s nothing some fresh mountain air can’t fix.

The man who goes alone can start today; but he who travels with another must wait until that other is ready - Henry Thoreau 🌿
I posted this about a year ago but I absolutely love this quote as it hits so close to home. A few years ago I remember I was constantly waiting on someone. Whether to go to the mountains, to see a movie, to try that new restaurant I had always wanted to try, the list goes on. One morning, I remember clearly, I had plans to go hiking when my friend’s schedule changed last minute. While I would have normally been upset and stayed home I decided to go anyways and ended up having one of the most amazing days of my life. Little did I know that one small decision would trigger the largest turning point in my life and now my only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. Learning to be comfortable on my own has definitely been a journey, but I have made the fondest memories and have learned so much about who I really am and what I value. I highly recommend trying it if you haven’t experienced it yet.. It may seem scary or uncomfortable at first, but trust me, you will not regret it. If you take anything from this random girl you follow on Instagram... I really hope it is this 💫

My two favorite things; sunsets in the mountains and a cup of hot cocoa☕️
