Finally made a video on DCA!
Prior to getting myself certified, I find it difficult to understand this strategy even after I tried looking up on YouTube. I hope with this video, I kept it simple and digestible for those who want to understand about DCA.
For those who are interested, I’ve broken down our holiday into four major categories: getting and staying, eating out, experiences and shopping. .
One of my favourite ways to experience a new city is by eating at different places, trying new foods and just enjoying all that they have to offer. So we could have definitely done our eating out cheaper by cooking meals in our Air BnB, eating takeaway, choosing cheaper options, but there were a few days when we just wanted to try yum cha, or enjoy that cafe, or splurge on Italian food.
We saved and cash rolled our holiday. I guess it was a bit of a babymoon and 30th birthday celebration, and is also the most major holiday we will take for the next few years with a little one coming to join the family soon. So yes, we could have done it a bit cheaper, and yes other people might have done it differently, but we had fun, enjoyed ourselves, and have come home feeling very refreshed and ready for the rest of December. Bring on the busy season.

Feeling defeated?😬 You are feeling stuck with your social media brand building because you are not doing enough, don’t be too critical about the production quality, if your info is good, most people don’t care that much🤭😉
Today on Dave Ramsey’s show he spoke about how difficult life can be when you don't have space or margin built into your life. He emphasized the importance of having margin emotionally, spiritually, in relationships, and of course financially. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
One example: if you're worried about how you're going to pay your bills, or if you're always playing catch up financially, you don't have any ”cushion” for when life happens. Or what Dave calls the difference of an inconvenience and a crisis. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Another example: if you're going through something emotionally (maybe stress from debt payments 🤔) and you're burnt out and not dealing with it, its likely that you feel less available to support someone else simultaneously. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I needed to hear his message today. I realized and accepted that the temporary sacrifice of becoming debt free is this margin. The only exception is in my relationship with God. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Pursuing financial freedom is more than deciding what I want to give my ”energy” to, but deliberately acting on it. This journey has shifted my perspective but its only relevant if its followed by persistence, perseverance and done on purpose. It means working late nights, saying “NO thank you” unapologetically, and “I can’t afford it” without shame. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀

How to help homeless people this winter.
I was homeless too sometimes ago.
Homelessness has been on the rise every year which is why I will scream about it as much as I can.
It's thought at least 320,000 people are homeless in Britain, including those living on the streets, sleeping in cars, trains, and tents, or living in temporary accommodation.
So what can you to do help?
"If you see someone on the street, even if you don't have any cash on you, I genuinely think the interaction is more important than anything.
"People on the street end up having a lack of social skills and not having friends or a connection with people. So if you don't have the money, just have a conversation."
If you see someone sleeping rough, the advice from charity Crisis is to contact Streetlink in England & Wales, or the local council in Scotland, to connect that person with the homelessness services in their area.
If you have immediate worries about their welfare, they say you should call 999.
Crisis says with temperatures dropping, offering a homeless person a hot drink, a blanket or warm clothes can also be a big help.
'Homelessness can happen to anyone'
I was homeless as well once and I know there's a still a stigma around homelessness and that many people think anyone on the streets is "either a drug abuser or they did something to mess their own life up which is absolutely not true.
I speak to people who had jobs in the City, people who had absolutely perfectly normal lives with children and a partner. "All it takes is for a partner to leave, the money to go away and before you know it, your family have abandoned you and you find yourself on the street. Or maybe you are a destitute refugee with support whatsoever.
Quite often people come to us and ask, “Hey, when’s the best time for me to start investing?”⠀
Well, let’s walk you through it.⠀
If you ask anyone, they’ll probably say, “Oh, I should only invest when the economy is good.” But the thing is, if you ask anyone, they always say “The economy is bad.”⠀
Or they’ll come to us and ask “Should I only invest when the economy is good?” If you ask anyone, they’ll probably say “Oh, the economy’s worse now,”⠀
Or someone will come to us and say, “Should I only invest when I have money?” If you ask anyone, they’ll probably say “Oh, I always don’t have any money.”⠀
Or worse still someone comes to us and say, “Oh, I’ll only invest when I’m older.” You’re getting older every day. So what’s the right answer? What’s the right time to invest?⠀
So what's the Fuss Free Finance answer? Link in our bio. 😉

#Debt is something that robs a lot of people of hope. According to Hal Lindsey, “Man can live about forty days without food, about three days without water, about eight minutes without air…but only for one second without hope.” Simply put, debt puts a peso sign on how much of your future you spent in the past. #personalfinance

How many bank accounts do you have?.
We have 7: Splurge, Necessity, Pay, Bills, House Deposit, Holiday and Loan.
It seems like a lot but it works for us and it helps me separate and differentiate our goals.
How do you like keeping track of your #goals?
Let’s talk Afterpay!.
This is the amount of debt that people are owing on Afterpay in Australia.
Noting the relatively low amount that can be borrowed this number is ridiculously high!.
I’ve never used Afterpay but it seems relatively useless noting the small amounts you pay back each week.
You could easily save the money yourself if you just wait an extra month or two to buy what you want?.
If you need help budgeting just let me know and I'll give you a hand!!
What are your thoughts on #Afterpay?
What do you want to experience in your life? What do you value? What do you appreciate?
Think about it. Decide. Practice. Then see the major changes that will take place in your life.

If you missed your chance to snag a new TV over the Black Friday weekend, don’t worry: January is actually the best time to buy certain electronics because retailers are trying to offload last year’s models to make room for new stock. As long as you’re not looking for the newest rollout, you’ll stand to score a pretty sweet deal.💯
But it’s not just TVs. The winter months are also the best time to buy bed linens, winter coats and mattresses (among a few other things). Knowing the best time to buy big-ticket items can help you save big on major purchases — especially if you have a little time to plan ahead.

I said it before, I'll say it again. We live in great times, the best time in human history! Name a time in history where you could make a living for yourself with tools that most people have! People fail to see the incredible tools the world of innovation has provided them. With internet we can contact anyone across the globe, with social media we can spread our message to billions of people and yet most of us use the internet to browse for celebrity gossip, funny pictures and thousands of other wasteful purposes.
Whenever I'm with my older family and they can't decide where to go and get dinner, I blow them away when all I have to do is ask my phone, "Hey Siri, find me some good restaurants!" and I'm provided with dozens of recommendations. If I have a question I want answered, I don't have to go to the library, I use Google. We live in the Information Age but the information most people consume is crap.
For those who want to be successful, use the tools within your reach to become financial successful by investing time into learning skills that can generate you income. No information on becoming wealthy is hidden behind closed doors, the information is out there for FREE! If you want to save time and research you could always pay someone a fee for their time and research. Unless you don't have access to internet paired with a laptop or smartphone, you have no excuse! —— 😎Follow @investorknowledge#richmindset#mindsetiseverything#financialadvice#investors#moneytips#personalfinance#assets#investments#successtip#businessmentor#investorknowledge

It's not about salaries, it's all about cash flow. The highest earners in the world are not employed by someone else working for a salary but they became wealthy through their skillsets. I didn't mention it on this list but I do talk about it in some of my other posts about the importance of value, more importantly, the value you can offer somebody else. You can work hard and still not make a great living, that's a fact. But if you are able to offer someone something that very few can bring to the table, you will be paid handsomely for it.
Rich people don't value there time by the hour like average people do. Freelancers for example sometimes charge a flat fee for their services. You can be hired as a social media marketer, do an hour of work or 40 hours of work and be paid the same. Why is that? Because they can do in an hour what takes an employee at a company to do in 40. Or better yet, they work more effective than them because they have more knowledge on the subject than them.
Let's say you are an expert in sales conversion and can get a client sales using social media, how would you charge that client for your efforts? Let's say one sale for that client brings them $50,000 per sale. It would be more than reasonable to charge that client several thousand dollars for your services because that's how valuable you are to them.
Make sense? One path for wealth accumulation is to have skills that are valuable to others. 🤔Comment a skill that you think is extremely valuable! 😎Follow @investorknowledge —— #financialadvice#investors#moneytips#personalfinance#assets#liability#investments#successtip#businessmentor#investorknowledge#clients#freelancer

I love these tips. 4 & 5 speak to me the most. I’m terrible at tracking expenses which is why I reverse budget. It makes all budgeting so much easier for me. (Reverse budgeting is when you pay yourself first and spend the rest) Which tips speak to you?
Those Yeezy shoes and designer belt look cool until you see your bank account balance. "Rich" people wear designer clothes and drive fancy cars. Except they live paycheck to paycheck. Wealthy people look like your everyday person except they live within their means.⠀
