Discovered these grass fed beauties recently from Paleo Valley. Taste great, strong macro profile with zero carbs (most beef sticks have a few grams of carbs). I keep a couple of these in my golf bag next to my protractor. That’s a Bryson DeChambeau joke, try to keep up.
It’s Friday night so time for fish and chips Whole30 style!!!!! Made even better with a dollop of whole30 mayo ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Mayo is so easy to make whole30, simply get 1 egg, 1/4 teaspoon of mustard powder, 1 1/4 cup of oil (light olive or avocado are best) and follow these steps:
1. Put into bowl (I use a measuring jug) the egg, mustard powder and the 1/4 oil
2. Mix with a hand blender
3. Once all is mixed in then with one hand blend he mixture as with the other you pour in the 1 cup oil slowly! I mean slower than slow! You want just a trickle and keep blending. The liquids will start to emulsify and go solid. I don’t always end up using all of the oil, I stop when I’m happy with the consistency 👍🏻
4. Put in an air tight container/jar and use before the use by date of the eggs
Top Tip: You can add sea salt, garlic, lemon juice too for taste if you like 👌👌👌👌👌 #whole30#whole30recipes#whole30meals#fishfriday#paleo#fitfood#fitness#health#wholesome#fitlife#fitlifestyle#paleodiet#whole30approved#whole30life#cleaneating
Paleo, Whole30, or Keto - Which diet is right for me?
Three of the most talked about diets is the Paleo diet, Whole30, and the Keto Diet. There are some similarities among these diets and there are a lot of differences between them, as well. The Paleo diet is more of a lifestyle change, where the Whole30 is short term diet designed to kick-start healthy eating and weight loss. The Keto diet can be controversial, as it promotes a low carb, high fat eating which isn’t necessarily the healthiest in the long term.
How do you know which way of eating is right for you? Check out my new blog post with contributions from @jennifer_ostman_ntp

🇺🇸Eggplants from our garden. So cute! Not sure they are naturally mini or got too much sun and didnt grow as much. Took me a while to learn that nightshades grow at night & shades. They were delicious anyway ☺️💜🍆

Paleo blueberry pancakes on a very snowy Friday morning ❄️🌨
Tag a friend who would love this! .
Servings: 4 people
2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lime juice
2 tablespoons oil
1 large garlic clove, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1/2-1 teaspoon ground chili (adjust to your desired spice preference)
1 tablespoon fresh chopped cilantro (optional)
1 1/2 pounds (650 grams) chicken thighs, skinless and boneless
3 large bell peppers (or capsicums), cut into strips (I use green, red and yellow)
1 red onion thinly sliced
2 avocados, peeled, seeded and sliced
In a large shallow bowl, combine lime juice, oil, garlic, cumin, salt, chili and cilantro; mix together. Add the chicken thighs and If time allows, let marinate for 30 minutes.
Heat a large skillet or pan (12-inch | 30cm) on medium-high heat until smoking. Add a drizzle of olive oil to lightly coat the bottom of the pan. Sear the chicken on both sides until golden, charred and cooked right through (about 8 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of your fillets). Flip them a couple of times while cooking so they get a nice even char.
Transfer chicken to a warm plate, loosely tent with foil and let rest.
Add the peppers and onions to the skillet (drizzle with a little extra oil only if needed), and cook until the onion is soft and the peppers are slightly charred and cooked to your liking. Season with salt and pepper.
Slice chicken into strips.
Serve with warmed tortillas, chopped cilantro and sliced avocado (plus your desired fillings)
BEAUTY-BOOSTING FOODS 🥰✨
While there isn’t any *magic* beauty food, adding these beauty-boosting foods into your nutrient-dense diet will definitely help you get (and keep!) that bright, clear, and wrinkle-free skin!
🥑 Avocados are high in beauty-boosting fats, vitamin E (which helps keep skin strong and hydrated), and B-vitamins (help reduce redness and inflammation). Also great to use topically!
🍇 Goji berries are the longevity fruit! They’re anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, and full of antioxidants, vitamins and skin-boosting amino acids. High in glutamine, which stimulates HGH, a hormone partially responsible for youthful skin.
🌱 Sea veggies, like nori, wakame, dulse or kelp, contain high amounts of iodine, which promotes a healthy thyroid. Low thyroid can cause pale and/or dry skin.
🍣 Fatty Fish, like wild salmon or sardines, contain high amounts of omega-3s, which helps reduce inflammation and promote collagen synthesis.
🥥 Coconut is *my* favorite beauty food! Coconut water is great for replenishing electrolytes and minerals, and the meat of the coconut is high in both vitamins A and E, essential for hydrating and protecting your skin.
🍠 Sweet potatoes are full of beta-carotene, which converts into the beauty-boosting vitamin A. Vitamin A helps regenerate collagen and keep your skin smooth.
🍫 Cacao has the highest antioxidant concentration of any food, helping to reduce the formation of wrinkles. Cacao is also high in sulfur, which promotes strong hair, nails, and skin. When choosing your dark chocolate, be sure to look for 70%+ dairy-free bars.
🥬 Fermented foods are key to a healthy digestive system. When your digestion is compromised, it can start to quickly show up on your skin via acne or other skin issues.
🌊 Spirulina contains vitamin E, selenium, and tyrosine, all very powerful in their anti-aging effects.
