I’ve only been posting my work online for a year and a half, but turning has a much longer story in my life. At about the age of twelve, I was introduced to the world of woodturning by a man named Paul Ross. He walked me through the steps to make a small bowl, which I then got to take home. I remember signing my name on the bottom of the bowl, and feeling a little pride welling up in me as I finished my piece. I have that bowl to this day (in fact I should track it down sometime), and when hollowing out a bowl I still get excited remembering that day in the shop, at about 12 years old, when a man named Paul Ross taught me to make a wooden bowl.
I’ll be at #holiday2018handmademarket the weekend of November 9-11 @handmademarketniagara
If you’re in the Niagara area, I highly recommend checking it out!!
Happy Friday to all- aka the perfect day to attempt this recipe: One Pot (Skillet) Honey BBQ Chicken (tags: tasty, instagramable, time consuming, not at all easy, might be one pot but uses 75 dishes, do not embark upon on a weeknight, you’ll probably be eating at 9pm, how do people cook and have full time jobs) link in bio
