Being in Borrego Springs I knew I had to get a shot of the Milky Way with this huge scorpion structure. I got a bunch of different shots all around it but wanted to get something a little different, so I proceeded to climb up on top of it with tripod and camera in hand, trying not to fall. Once on top, I got as far underneath the stinger as I could and aimed my camera straight up at stinger with the wide-angle 14 - 24 mm lens. Once settled in and taking some pics, I realized that the whole thing was swaying back and forth just a little bit because of the wind, so I just kept taking shots until I was able to get one that was somewhat clear. The light pollution was coming from the town of Borrego Springs, so I cropped it out to give it a little different look.
