Saivism (Shaivism) is a major sect of Hinduism. Saivism means the tradition which upholds the belief that Lord Shiva is the Lord of Universe and the Creator of all. In fact, like Vaishnavism, which regards Lord Vishnu as the Creator, Saivism is a religion in itself. Until medieval times, Saivism was also the most popular sect of Hinduism, with the widest following.
The Sect regards Lord Shiva as Brahman Himself and all other divinities as aspects of Him. The origins of this sect are probably rooted in the prehistoric fertility traditions of ancient India who worshipped Father God and Mother Goddess. The worship of Shiva probably began in the mountainous regions of the Indian subcontinent and spread into other parts of India gradually during the eastward migration of Vedic communities that inhabited the Sindhu Saraswathi region, which is presently a desert. In this presentation, we cover some of the most basic concepts of Saivism.
Saivism does not believe in the incarnation of God. Followers of Shiva believe that God being omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent, He would not have to incarnate especially to restore order and regularity of His creation. He does it through His manifestations, emanations and special appearances. Hence, in the course of creation He assumes many forms, names and identities. Worshippers of Shiva, worship Him in various forms, as Sivalinga, Nataraja, Dakshinamurthy, Arthanariswara, Haryadhamurthi, Yogeswara, Bhairava. In Shakta worship, Shiva is worshipped as a consort of Devi and He has as many forms as the Devi, ranging from the most fierce to the most benign. ✨🙏✨ source: hinduwebsite.com 📿🕉🐍🌙

Я уже в #Гоа , но из гималайского тура осталось множество неопубликованных впечатлений. Так что продолжаю...
Наггар. Трипура Сундари - одна из 10 Махавидий тантрической традиции.
The Tripura Sundari Temple is a wooden pagoda-style temple that can be accessed via a short walk on a path from Naggar Castle.
When I first heard about Kedarnath the only thing that came to my mind was the 16km hike and so you know now I went there with the 16km thought. So, whatever I saw there was a shock as I haven't seen any videos or pictures because I don't wanted to ruin my first time watch expression.
When I first saw it I was fully wet and a few hours away from being hypothermic but I made it and my heart was filled with emotions and my eyes were watery. I didn't know it was the rain or my tired soul or the first glimpse of Kedarnath.
This picture is what defines the PATIENCE best, I waited for 2 days without doing anything just to see the clear weather and sunlight falling on mountains. I WAITED FOR THE MOMENT TO WEAR MY SAREE AND TWIRLING AROUND :)

*** Guru Dakshinamurthy ***
Dakshinamurthy or Jnana Dakshinamurt is an aspect of the Hindu god Shiva as a guru (teacher) of all types of knowledge (jnana). .
This aspect of Shiva is his personification as the supreme or the ultimate awareness, understanding and knowledge. This form represents Shiva as a teacher of yoga, music and wisdom, and giving exposition on the Shastras. .
He is worshipped as the god of wisdom, complete and rewarding meditation. As per scriptures, if a person doesn't have any Guru then they can consider and worship Lord Dakshinamurthy as their Guru.Eventually, they will be blessed with a human Self-Realised Guru if they are worthy. .

👉 What does 'Hara' mean? .
'Hara' means the one who destroys. Lord Shiva is called Hara because he is the destroyer of world, sins, evils etc..
In the phrase 'Hara Hara Mahadeva' the meaning which suits the most is 'Who destroys the sins.' Mahabharata Vana Parva Kairata section states:
गतेषु तेषु सर्वेषु तपस्वीसु महात्मसु ।
पिनाकपाणिर्भगवान् सर्वपाप हरो हरः ।। .
All the Mahatman and Tapasvis went away. Lord Hara is the Bhagvan who holds Pinaka in his hands and does Harana (destruction) of all sins.
So, Hara means the one who destroys Sins.
