I'm not big on jewellery; never have been. I've always been better at losing precious things than I've been at cherishing them. But time has shaped me & has been the best judge of my worthiness of the precious, the finer things in life, moments & mementos that come to you through strife & stubbornness & understanding that you're deserving of the best.
My grandmother may have presented me with these when I was born. But, it's only today, 28 years later that I'm worthy of owning them. And that I am proud of. I hope you are, too, Nana.
Awkward art. When I see statures and sculptures by artists they always look beautiful. When it’s a celebrity from my time... they always look creepy or not what the person actually looked like. I should add that this was life size more or less; not something a person with suspect tastes would have in their mantel.
