This is my hearts cry... As long as I am breathing, I will not be silent! I will always, always, always worship Jesus!!! You see, there’s something about worship... When we’re sad, downcast, worried, anxious, fearful, uncertain or distraught, and we go into the presence of God, deliberately worshipping Him despite how we feel, there’s a transference... Your situation may not have changed but you’ll be filled with peace, joy and satisfaction. You are gradually changed into the image of the One who you worship!
Why don’t you worship Jesus with us on Friday during our Ladies Monthly Prayer Session?

New hair this month, @ultabeauty did a kickbutt job on my haircut a few weeks ago. I had to chop off my dead ends and make way for the new. 2019 is already looking fresh. This time a year ago was far more different than it is today. It’s good to look back. Where were you last year during this time? ❤️🙏🏽 #blessedisshe#newhaircut#happynewyear
“The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.” Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.”
Was up early today and the light was beautiful and I thought of this beautiful verse - sometimes I like to think of God as a consuming fire, like to see him in every sunrise and every burning bush. But sometimes God comes in gentle whispers. Be careful to listen for it.
I will be celebrating my 36th birthday on Tuesday, I am loathe to say this because it’s just too darn vulnerable, but I feel I should.
The most prominent thought on my impending birthday has been “I can’t believe you’re still here and not there…” I’ve been wrestling it almost every day, especially in the evenings.
I believe that birthdays should always be a celebration; life is beautiful even with all the hurts, scrapes and grazes. We have oceans, mountains, valleys and forests after all. And all the dangers they hold in their underbellies take nothing, not one beautiful aspect from their wonder, exquisiteness or the awe of knowing that God created them. Just like He breathed life in me.
This morning while praying, I read Psalm 20, I prayed verses 1-5 specifically over myself, over those parts too afraid to dream. I must’ve read over it about three times, then I sat and listened to these songs in success.
I surrender all
As the deer
I am being crushed, I am being pressed, I am surrendering, I am thirsty. Like I said in my post yesterday, I haven’t really trusted God with me or my life.
I’ve seen too many disappointments to even quote the good old “God hasn’t failed me yet”. I do feel that He has failed me (and others around me), especially during the foundational phases of my childhood.
Good is very, very good, but God doesn’t always allow good to pass, to win, to conquer, that is my experience and my story. I’ve never heard anyone else admit to this, so perhaps I am alone in my sentiments.
But my resolve is to NOW CHOOSE to be; broken, pliable, to somehow, somehow, SOMEHOW, let go of where God did not shield me but ALLOWED; and trust that as God, He knows what He is doing and it might make sense one day.
To stay in the fire and know that “There is another in the fire standing next to me and holding back the seas” to quote Hillsong United.
W H O * DO * I * W A N T * T O * B E C O M E * ?
Authentic, is my answer for today.
Dedicate yourself, strive, invest your time and energy in those who believe in you, and do not rush, a seed only bears fruit when it becomes a tree and at the right time.
Cheer up and reflect!
This post is backwards... we had a very good small group time and are thankful for all the conversations we had to grow closer to each other. Worship was led with our students together, proud that they are able to overcome nervousness and just jump into it and even prouder as they did a great job! What a fun way to start our youth group with this cup game. Visited for lunch one of our Highschools to join FCA and got to listen to the testimony of Justin Speier, great speaker with a great message! And then we are already at the beginning of our day... we started the day with 'Global Haverim' and learned more about being faithful. God healed that blind man just because of his faith, how much easier could it be for the most of us who have eyes to see and ears to hear... just need the heart and mind to understand... #godisgood#grateful#harbortrinitychurch#htcyouth#htclighthouse#htcanchored#paismovement#paisnorthamerica#paiscostamesa#globalhaverim
I love this waiting area at HSC.
