Well, I’m feeling really fabulous about our King of Wands, Herman Melville. For all of the project’s Kings we’ve created elemental fantasy scapes - we put Poe in outer space (Air) and indulged Hawthorne with a mermaid (Water). For this image, I was inspired by Melville’s “Encantadas,” essays about the Galápagos Islands. After making a literary inventory of the inhospitable terrain and its chief inhabitant - the Iguana! - Melville concludes, “In no world but a fallen one could such lands exist.” Melville’s Gnostic sensibility is balanced by the rich humor he finds in the absurdity of the human experience: what else can it be but a joke to house an immortal soul in a mortal body?
A Leo with a Sagittarius Moon, Melville’s creative fire birthed the epic Moby-Dick. But he was most famous in his times for a novel called Typee, based in part on his own experience “going native” in the Marquesas islands. We sought to visually free Melville of the repressive sexual mores of his times, and represent that he was most “himself” when not in America. Melville shocked his mid-nineteenth-century American audience by finding much to praise about the Pacific Island culture of Nuku Hiva. •
긴 하루 끝에 네가 있어,
그 기쁨 하나로 하루를 살아가던
이런 나를 짐작이나 할까
This song made me fangirl over him.
Cannot pick just one for my favorite, so no comment about that lol
When I listen to music, I imagine the scenes that lyrics say or want to say. (That’s why I try to avoid listening to k-pops.. especially meaningless words such as songs full of onomatopoeic words, woo- sounds, or bizarre english words which are not matched with the lyrics.)
[BTS is exception, by the way! I like their some songs and they are greatly impressive and inspiring!]
The lyrics goes like this: *At the end of all this long day, you are there. That’s the only joy that I can stand the whole long day. I wonder if you guess that I do.
*Not sure it’s perfectly correct, but feels like this way.
Purplish sky on the album cover helps me feel the lyrics more vivid and comfortable. It’s more like it delivers the meaning precisely. Imagine that sun’s going down and someone I love is standing and waiting for me at the end of my day. Aww, feel so comfy, cosy, and warm.
Ahhhhh, I love the song and other songs of him.
And you know what? He is freaking cute and handsome. It is absolutely uncontroversial that he has sweet voice.😍
I love him so much.🤭
Well, the posts I will upload from now are just for me and the person who is going to read them is also only me, anyway. LOL
“What does planting one tree matter?” 🌱 Well, it matters to that tree, and how green and lovely will this forest look in five, 10, 20 years? 🌱 Every guest sailing in the Galapagos with @celebritycruises that goes to visit the giant tortoises on Santa Cruz island – a highlight of the trip, obviously – has the option to participate in this small but mighty act of giving back to a place that has given us so much. 🌱🌱🌱 It’s an initiative that has resulted in the planting of thousands of young saplings on designated Parque Galapagos land, in conjunction with park naturalists, as always. Getting a little dirt underneath your fingernails is totally worth it. 💚🌱💗🌱🌎 #galapagos#galapagosislands#ecuador
🇬🇧 These tortoises go very slowly and do not get intimidated by our presence, only some get upset and put their heads in the shell, expelling air. so it is best to move away slowly and let them eat quietly.

🇬🇧 On the fifth day of being in the Catamaran, we made a small excursion to visit the Island of Santa Cruz and the giant tortoises that inhabit it. Formerly there were 15 species of giant tortoises, today there are only 11; They are extinct in Pinta, Fernandina, Rábida, Floreana and Santa Fe.
