FITNESS UPDATE - Honestly I haven’t been working out & eating the best for the past month. I’ve been extremely overwhelmed with moving to ABQ & the process of starting a new job. But I am not too stressed or worried about gaining a few pounds because I’m the only person to blame and the only person that made excuses, so I’m the only person that can get myself back to where I was. I’m so excited to start my fitness journey!! I’ve missed it so much! 😭😭😭
Fear used to stop me dead in my tracks. Stop me before I'd even get started. .
I paid way too much for way too long for a gym membership I didn't even use. Then when I finally did go, I wasted a ton of my precious time only using the tread mill, stair stepper, or some of the machines (randomly...in no particular order, no attention to weight progression, progress, or reps). As a result I saw little to no real results. I didn't go anywhere NEAR the free weights because frankly I had NO CLUE what I was doing. .
I was afraid of people looking at me and laughing, judging me, or telling me I didn't belong. I was afraid of failure. Frankly, I was afraid of my own lack of perfection. .
How many of you guys felt this way too? Felt stuck or paralyzed by fear? Felt like you wanted to change, you wanted to start exercising, but you just couldn't? Felt pathetic for not already being at the finish line before you even started? .
I don't have a fancy home gym set up. My form isn't perfect. I've progressed a TON in the past 10 weeks, but I'm still not lifting hard core weights. I sometimes have to stop in the middle of my workout to nurse or breakup a fight over a purple unicorn. My tummy is still squishy and covered in stretch marks from birthing 3 kids. .
I do all my workouts and get all my results from home, so I don't necessarily have to worry about anyone else seeing or judging me, but I share my journey and every workout here & in my IG Stories to help inspire others. To show you that it IS possible to make a change and that you don't have to feel stuck in your situation. That you don't have to be a victim of fear and self doubt. .
That "perfect" I was all stressed about before not only doesn't matter, it doesn't exist. .
If you're feeling stuck getting started, lacking motivation, or lost as to what to do to be productive & get results when you're working out at home or at the gym, reach out. .

MAMINHA COM BATATAS
1 peça de maminha (usei de 1kg)
1 colher (sopa) de azeite de oliva extravirgem
2 colher sopa do “meu tempero caseiro” (alho + sal Rosa + cebolinha + azeite batido no processador)
1 colher sobremesa páprica picante
Sal Rosa e Pimenta a gosto
4 batata inglesa
2 batata doce
Marque as amigas pra fazer tbm 😋😉 .

I posted this before... Hip Thrusts build lower booty the fastest 🍑
7 weeks remaining until this little man is due! That mean lots of rearranging, organizing, and a big boy bed! I don’t know where the past 8 months went! I can’t believe we’re so close to being a #familyoffour 🤰🏼😔👨👩👦👦
Arm blasters will make your biceps burn 💪🏾🔥
I have seen plenty of people on social media using these, and I figured I’d give it a try once I found a gym that had one.
The reason I like it so much is because it basically eliminates any possibility of shoulder flexion aiding in the movement. That means there is more tension on the bicep = good thing!
If you are having trouble feeling activation in your biceps when training them, try stepping away from the conventional barbell curl and dumbbell curl, and lean more toward isolated movements that eliminate the possibility of accessory muscle help.
Possible exercise that you can do:
Overhead cable curl
Arm blaster barbell curl
Arm blaster dumbbell curl
Seated concentration curls
Lying cable curl
Preacher hammer curls
To be clear I am not saying that the barbell curl or regular dumbbell curl is not effective. These are simply other exercises you can implement if the barbell and dumbbell curl isn’t doing it for you.
‼️If you try one of these out, post it on your story and tag me in it! I’d love to see it! ‼️
Seeing as that it’s #tbt and the #10yearchallenge is all the rage these days, I figured why not join in...and then I saw a bunch of pictures from 10 years ago 🙈 While I CLEARLY was not in the best shape of my life 10 years ago, seeing the pictures of me with a much rounder face (and belly 🤣) honestly didn’t upset me- it just made me proud of how far I’ve come.
If you would have told me 10 years ago I’d have flatter abs & more toned arms and legs after having 3 kids in 4 years I would have laughed in your face. The 22 year old me on the right counted calories, ate all the low-fat, low-calorie food she could find (and thought that was healthy), and exercised sporadically, trying to out-exercise her diet to get to optimal shape/health. She had no clue how to effectively lose and keep off the extra pounds, even though she wanted to. She did have a way better tan though 😉
The 31 year old me on the left eats what she wants (which is genuinely real, nutrient-dense foods) and doesn’t count a single calorie. She gets about 4 hours less of sleep per night but has way better energy levels, and feels better overall too. She’s down about 2-3 pant sizes, works out no more than an hour per day, 5-6 days/week, and has found a passion in nutrition & fitness. She may need a spray tan, but I’d like to think positive progress has been made in the last decade 😎
Bottom line: you don’t have to accept where you are or where you’ve been. Saying things like “I could never eat healthy, I don’t like vegetables” or “I hate working out so I can’t be fit” ARE LIES. Will it take hard work, changing your habits, and consistency? Yes, yes, and yes. But from someone who’s favorite food was anything with carbs that she could douse in honey mustard and brownies made from a box to someone who eats bunless grass-fed burgers and brownies made without refined sugars or flours, and chooses the second option without a second thought to the first, I can tell you it’s possible. Make the next 10 years better than the last.
Talk about a #thursdaytransformation and how much this little one has grown!
On the top pic we were on a summer vacation and he was about 6 months old! Of course it’s normal for him to be a chunky baby but not for me to be that swollen. I was still on a regular diet eating meat and all animal products.
On the bottom is the most recent picture we happen to capture at home. He is now 2 years old and of course he will develop accordingly to his age. As far as what changed for me, I’m a #VEGAN and been working out regularly. I’m feeling better than ever!
What major positive changes have you made recently?

Getting my cardio on today after my leg #pwr2019 session 💪🏼⚡️🏃🏻♀️ I thought I would try to brave the weather and go to the track today, but that didn’t happen! 🥶 it is way too chilly for that, so I’m at the warm gym on the treadmill instead! 💦 #sweat12wc
