Patch Your Financial Leaking Pocket
You may think of taking a new title next year, CFO- Chief Financial Officer of your company.
Yes, you heard me right.
Until we rise to attend to our finances with care like we do our hair for women and shoes for men, then we will head no where as entrepreneurs.
So many things come to play and you can't run away from them if building your empire is important to you.
Habits that lead to spending more than we earn has to be cut off hence manage your cash flow.
To be a good CFO, consider doing these and more. √ Manage your cash flow
Understand how you spend your money and this could work if you start taking down your spendings and income from today. Even your airtime , bottle water and money to the beggars should be accounted for. √ Have a budget
A day to day budget. I know I refill my cylinder once a month and sometimes in 2 months, every week I buy a carton of Aquadana 75 cl of 20 bottles and a bit more sometimes. Data also accounted for ,etc.
This helps to know where to cut down and more.
Budget helps you to discover opportunities to save money which you can redirect towards debt reduction and building a cash bank (emergency fund- something to give attention in 2019). √ Have some work contracted to professionals who will advise you better and handle them seamlessly like tax advisor, estate managers etc.
Yes, you can reach out to financial advisors like Kalu Ude Ukpabi and Alex Iheanacho to help there. √ Communicate to the important team members
Many shy away from discussing money matter with their spouse or partner.
If you have this money ministry in mind to grow, then you have to do it and do it now.
Call in your partner, family members and discuss the short term and long term financial goals and see where to cut off spending, how to manage resources and take care of important things .
An understanding from everyone will help you achieve your goals.

If your New Year’s Resolution is to save money a decluttered and organised home can help. Here’s how👇 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✂️✂️✂️Do you go to the supermarket, hardware store, chemist or clothing store and buy an item you think you need, get home and find you already had one (or more) of that exact item? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
😵😵😵Do you buy duplicates due to a scarcity mindset? This is where you have a fear of running out or not having enough of an item or product. So you buy duplicates or extras “just in case”. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🔦🔦🔦 Do you buy duplicates because you have so much clutter that you simply don’t know what you have? Or maybe you can’t find what you need when you need it so you just go and buy another one as that is quicker and easier? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🛒🛒🛒 This kind of buying—buying duplicate items means you are spending money that you don’t need to spend (and the duplicate items are taking up valuable space in your home). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you want to stop wasting money 💰 buying things you already have a decluttered and organised home can help. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The government of the United Arab Emirates is sponsoring a virtual hackathon dedicated to blockchain, which will count with $ 140.000 in prizes at stake. A hackathon is a term used in hackers communities to refer to a meeting of programmers, the term joins the words marathon and hacker.
Organized by AngelHack and with the technician support of CosenSys, the GovHack virtual Blockchain (as is called this event) is directed to highlight innovations that could remodel and improve the form of government local and national. The hackathon fits the summit of government, an annual meeting in Dubai that will take place in February.
Those who support the hackathon are looking for applications in areas such as the government digitized, and-identity and cities connected – concepts that Dubai has been pushing to as part of their own research on blockchain. The Foundation Dubai Future, an initiative of technology supported by the government of the emirate, said that wants to support the activity of starting blockchain as well.
The harder you work for something, the greater you'll feel when you achieve it. Feelings of gratitude were at an all time high today. Blessed to be part of a company where I have the ability to give people hope and inspiration and change their life. I’m a true believer that YOU ARE THE CREATOR OF YOUR LIFE. It's up to you and only you! Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will. So stop doubting yourself and just make it happen.
Moving on to a new focus 🤗🙏🏿🤗 Quick Reflection though
1. Face your credit...its not as bad as you think...even if it is...so what lol that just means bigger increase when you take action to fix it. We deserve credit...our ancestors worked too hard lol
2. This was my goal...to find a way, an app, ebay, a book, babysitting, a corner, another job or whatever I may love to do to make more money. Once I have another stream that money will go directly to saving and investing in my goals
3. When i realized where my money was going and how much, I could make better decisions, like cut backs on eating out and increases in saving to my acorns account
Money isnt my fav thing to focus on but when I do focus I see favorable things so as i move to another focus i will continue to check my credit, keep looking for other streams and making sure my first stream is going to good use.

the year is coming to an end— i know people say this at the end of each year, that the next will be a year of change, or a year of profit, or a year of promotion; so when i say it, some of you may think just that—
“you said that last year”
— yeah, well, each and every year is a better year than before: at least for me.
2019 will have ups and downs no doubt, but this is the year— the year that will be unlike any other year, and when you look back you will see how insane it is on HOW MUCH GOD does on your life in just a short amount of time.
time ticks by every second of every minute of every hour of every day of every month of every year.
time is valuable, treasure it, give it to those who matter, and use it how you want to use it. •

We have a built in mechanism to avoid the things that make us uncomfortable. That's how we survive, but not how we progress. Accepting responsibility and then knowing you have the power to change your situation is where you will find progress.

I’ve been having some interesting conversations lately about things that should or shouldn’t be discussed publicly. For example, yesterday I posted a tweet where I asked if it’s ok to ask about people’s finances, income, rent etc. I got great insight and feedback.
I personally was raised to not ask other people how much money they make regardless of closeness. We do live in a time where the question of equality is being brought to the front lines and it’s very a important conversation to be had. Especially for people of color and women. So I completely understand and adhere to these talks being had.
Specifically for me, when watching actors speak up and for their fellow actors in terms of equal pay is important since that is my chosen profession. I like to learn and know what to expect for when I’m in a certain position. In this case, disclosing finances makes complete sense!
I will also say one of my biggest take aways is that as I get older, the conversations I once felt nonchalant having, I no longer do. If personal questions are being asked without there being definite purpose attached, I don’t understand the comfort people may have in the curiosity of knowing someone else’s personal business.
But hey 🤷🏽♀️ that’s just me and what works for my household may be different than what works for someone else’s. To each its own.
Conventional wisdom says that when paying off debt, you should pay off the account with the highest interest rate first, then the second highest rate, and so on 💳 Paying less interest costs you less money right?
Consider this: it may be more effective to attack the account with the lowest balance first and there are 3 reasons why: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Paying off the account with the smallest balance helps you achieve your first milestone sooner ⏰ thus providing you with a more immediate sense of accomplishment and reinforce your goal of being debt-free
2. Paying off one account sooner will simplify your finances by having one less bill to pay each month 💰 This help you overcome the complexity of managing financial goals. Wouldn’t you rather have one less bill to worry about? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Paying off an account frees up money each month 💵 You would then apply that freed up amount to the next lowest balance account and so on. The advantage of being in this position sooner, rather than later is being prepared for financial setbacks such as a job layoff.
Interestingly enough, it usually takes the same amount of time to pay off your debts whether you start with the highest interest rate or the lowest balance. Using this snowball effect helps you accelerate your debt payment in about the same amount of time. So what does it matter as to which method to use? 🤖 #MyRoboPlanner#FinancialAdvice#ComingSoon
