This post was on my to-do list for almost three weeks in a row.
I wanted to honestly write about my situation at that point but I wasn't sure how to translate my feelings into words.
Graphics designers may be nerds and techy people but they too, have feelings like everyone else.
A little over a month ago, I felt overwhelmed with negative emotions (what people call depression)... tossing and turning at night, anxious about what was going to become of me and wondering about the future.
Amidst these, I had to encourage many friends about stuff going on in their lives...because it's what I do. You know how it is when you cry in private but have to wipe the tears of people around you who are in tears. They can't see you cry.
Well, I was in a place where I felt I deserved more. I was working so hard at rolling out designs but clients were not quick to roll out cash.
I started to even question my abilities.
Then I started taking days off my computer. Started going on evening runs and dancing. I started praying again. Talking to my spouse and friends. I started laughing again. I'm much better for it.
What am I saying?
1. As a designer, it's okay to take a break. Take walks. Move deadlines. Sing. Dance. Go out.
2. When time is invested in other things that have lasting value- like time with God, friends and family, it rejuvenates your inspiration.
3. It's not a sin to question your abilities. Sometimes it helps perspective. Just ensure the questions will fuel positive change.
4. Having someone who is honest to talk to is important. Never die in silence. Speak up.
5. Anxiety/Depression is meditating on the possibilities/problem. There must be a higher perspective. #businesspassion#business#entrepreneurship#grind#hustle#learn#education#startup#success#successquotes#anxiety#startuplife#businessowners#ambition#dream#goals#lifegoals#depression#nevergiveup#MirandaTalks#successmindset#businessman#businesswoman#businesslife#entrepreneurlifestyle#goodlife#entrepreneur#motivated#businessowners#motivation

By now pretty much all schools are more than aware of the importance of abiding by the Ofsted rules and regulations. Before they even set foot in the school they will have done their background work and of course that will involve getting a feel for your school. They will want to see how you present yourself to the community and everyone involved. The place they will go to view that is your website of course!
We have adapted the new Ofsted 2018 Website Checklist from the DfE website and you can download it from the link in our bio. #ukedchat#edteach#education#ofsted#ofstedreadywebsite#edu#primaryschool#KS1#KS2#lrnchat#TeacherTuesday#SEN

Thoughts?🤔 Do you use additives? I dont, straight water and I change the water everyday for my flower and dab rig!! Just something I've done all along.
@Regran_ed from @bongfreshofficial - Question: Should I use water additives for flavor or to help keep my bong clean?
When your water and glass gets dirty after smoking, it’s because the function works! Dirty bong water and glass means it has filtered out some the carcinogens in the smoke. If your bongs glass and/or water additive are clean after you smoke, your water additive is coagulating the smoke and not filtering it correctly. One of the reasons Bongs are effective smoking devices is because of air suppression and filtration. Whether you use an additive to keep your glass clean or water flavoring; be careful about its selling features! keeping your bong clean when smoking may seem beneficial, but at what cost? You wouldn’t leave normal water in your glass for weeks.. so why would you leave additives?
P.s stay tuned for our blog on bong and bacteria! 🤮🤮🤮 Think about how you smoke! Happy smoking ❤️ Should you choose to use additives, we recommend DAILY (water & additive changes) and normal cleaning maintenance!

“G*psy is a racist term, not a cool business name, instagram account, or self-descriptor.
Contrary to contemporary pop-culture definitions, g*psy does not mean free-spirited, eco friendly, a world adventurer, or even hippie or bohemian. Similar to the n- word, g*psy is actually a racist slur for a group of people; the Romani (or Roma). To give you some history, the Romani people were a nomadic group, and an oppressed ethnic minority, whose origin and struggle dates back to 10th century India. They were displaced during a series of invasions in the 11th century. (Sway 1975) When the Romani people first migrated to Europe in the 11th century, the Catholic church discriminated against them, their unique culture, religious beliefs and their systems of social organization. Romani people and culture was seen as ‘deviant’ from Catholicism. The name gypsy itself actually originated because the European’s mistook them as Egyptian.
Due to discrimination, Romani people were “forced to specialize in tasks and occupations that were not in competition with another segment of the settled population. Fortune-telling, music, itinerant metal working, patent medicine, and horse dealing became some of the most common occupational niches that the Gypsies [Romani] filled.” (Sway 1975; 49) This separation further marginalized them, becoming a perpetual minority, rather than being accepted with the rest of the population. They were “despised and distrusted by settled populations everywhere they travelled” (Goldston 2010), continuing a cycle of discrimination and marginalization.” @maineethics
In underdeveloped areas, girls are less likely to be enrolled in school. "Girls are going to take care of the children and the kitchen anyway, no need for education," they say.
On the contrary, "taking care of the children and the kitchen" is such an important job that is fundamental to the development of a nation. Therefore, education is a must for future mothers. In fact, according to UNESCO, children born to educated mothers are less likely to be malnourished. Each additional year a girl goes to school helps reduce the child mortality rate by 2%

Since I'm planning to make a return to personal training at the start of 2019, I want to be very clear with what I stand for. Exercise has always been a huge part of my life. Weather it was riding my bike as a kid, playing netball or joining a gym. But it wasn't until I started struggling a lot with depression, no self confidence and very little self worth that exercise really saved me. At that time it gave me a purpose. A goal to be better than I was yesterday. It became my escape, my happy place. Then you start seeing results. So you become even more motivated. You start gaining more confidence, people start noticing your hard work. Eventually it becomes a habit, or routine. You rarely need to force yourself to the gym anymore because you genuinely enjoy it. There's more to life than abs and booty and having a sculpted body. But the be all and end all of life is to be happy. Gym for me, makes me feel happy. The physical act of training makes me feel good. The results are a bonus. The gym was there when I had not much else and helped me gain the confidence and self love I needed to feel happy within myself. So as a PT I don't want to kill you in the gym and make you eat lettuce. My mission is with mindset. I want to educate you and teach you the tools you need to live a happy lifestyle without a PT, because lets be honest you aren't going to continue to pay for a PT for the rest of your life. I want to guide you through what I believe is really important and cater that to you and your goals. Because every bodies idea of a good body is different. I simply want to teach you about the importance of loving yourself, no matter what stage of the journey your in and I want to help you feel confident in your own skin. You will not achieve sustainable results if you aren't enjoying the process. I want to be successful as a PT but for me that isn't about the money, it's about succesfully helping people make a sustainable change. Would love for you to comment below..What do you want to achieve in 2019. What's holding you back? What do you want to see from a PT? Are you ready to commit to making a change?
