While at @publix I also spotted these @goodfoods vegan dips!! I have tried both of them and they are so delicious. But the spicy queso is my favorite out of the two 🤤 They are right in the refrigerated produce aisle. (But I have also spotted them beside the hummus before too.)

Homemade pasta & pomodoro sauce on a Saturday night 🍝
Sooo if you saw our story, our intention was to make our own ravioli. Well it didn’t work out the way we intended, so we decided to go with something we’ve done before: linguine. It came out pretty good but we are definitely going to continue playing around with this ravioli recipe and perfect it.
ON THE OTHER HAND, our pomodoro sauce came out absolutely delicious!!! Here is the recipe below. •
What you need: 12 plum tomatoes 🍅, 8 cups of water, Kosher salt, Pepper, Red Pepper, Basil, 3 cloves of garlic •
This recipe is BASIC, you can customize this as much or as little as you want. Since it’s a fresh tomato sauce, there’s not a lot of liquid, which means it’s not going to cover 3 lbs of pasta. We suggest adding some water as you go because it might reduce a little too much. •
1) Cut a T-shaped slit in the top of the tomatoes. This will make it easier to peel. 2) Bring a medium pot of water to a boil. 3) Drop tomatoes in boiling water for 20-30 seconds, and immediately plunge into an ice bath. 4) Once cooled, peel skin of tomatoes and set aside. 5) Heat olive oil in medium pot on low heat. 6) Add garlic and sauté, making sure not to brown. 7) Add tomatoes, crushing to release liquid. 8) Add clean basil, 1 cup of water & spices for flavor 9) Simmer on medium low heat for 30 min- 1 hour. 10) Taste for seasoning and adjust as needed. •
Remember to always taste! It might look and smell delicious, but it usually needs a touch more salt 😜 🧂

Ingredients are for a 20x3cm tin
For the base:
1 tbsp flax seeds, grounded
1 tbsp coconut oil, melted
1 tbsp gingerbread spices
1/4 tsp salt
12 dates, pitted
Place the oats and pecan in a food processor and blend until finely ground. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until you get a sticky dough. Press the dough firmly into the tin and place in the refrigerator whilst making the filling.
For the red currant filling
100g red currant
2 tbsp agave
300ml coconut milk
1 can coconut cream, the solid part
1 tbsp corn starch
1 tsp agar agar
Blend the raspberries, currant and coconut milk and pass the mixture though a sieve. Pour it into a saucepan.
Add the rest of the ingredients and heat on medium heat. Bring to a brief boil, turn down the heat and keep stirring until it starts to thicken.
Let it cool down a little before pouring it over the tart base.

It snowed all day here in Toronto, and this was the perfect comfort food! The sauce is incredibly rich and cheesy- but doesn’t feature any heavy cream or dairy! You will love!😉
