This was one of my hardest days as a mom.
I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to make sure everything was in order for the first day of third grade.. Third grade. I stepped out the door, and onto the porch in my bare feet, I put my camera around my neck. And I watched them. They sat giggling, talking about their outfits and their friends. About being nervous without each other--they weren't going to be in the same class this year. As they hopped off the swing to give me hugs, I thought of my third grade memories.. I didn't have many good ones.
Third grade was the year the cool kids intentionally humiliated me in front of my friends. The year they tricked me into doing something stupid, ending up in my parents getting a phone call. The year I had the first teacher who didn't like me. The year some asshat went around saying I was a lesbian. 💁
How in the fuck do you handle that in the third grade? Third grade was the year I realized not all people were inherently good. I wasn't ready for the girls to face that reality.
I watched the girls walk down the sidewalk in the rain, so excited. I got their attention for one last photo, and they instantly looked older.
And I just wasn't ready for that either.
So mom's, how do you slow down with your kids? What do you play with them? What activities do you do? (the ones that don't leave you winded lol) Because as they get older, I'd like to focus on them not growing away while they grow older.
Remember our pup we got for Christmas? Well for years we’ve had a little kitty cat, poke. A Siamese rescue from being abandoned in a box in the parking lot of Walmart. For WEEKS poke has refused to come inside to eat. But the two of them are finally coming around. It’s definitely my Tuesday entertainment watching them sit beside each other afraid to make eye contact(HA!). I’m rooting for them though because I couldn’t stand the thought of parting with either of them!
Are you more of a cat or dog person?

“Grow your Instagram following”...
Does that phrase make you roll your eyes a bit? Yea me too. But let me be honest with you,
Instagram is a place where you can get unlimited leads and traffic into your business.
Read that again!
I used to be frustrated with the concept of growing my account until I realized that I could target my own unique niche of people.
Instead of spinning my wheels and wasting money with online services like The Knot, paying out the wazoo for advertising or just relying on word of mouth...I could choose who my account follows and therefore attract people in my niche or location.
Think about this, when you follow someone, they usually turn around and follow you back right?
So what if your account was automatically following 600 accounts a day in either your niche or your geo location. That means almost 600 accounts a day would turnaround and follow you back!
Your business gets 600 eyes on it every single day, while you sit back and watch the free leads/traffic roll into your business.
Let’s chat more on this topic throughout the week! And in the meantime click the link in my bio to learn how I can set this up for you and have your account generating leads for your business within 24 hours!
We’ll be enjoying lots of cake this week as we celebrate my youngest’s 5th birthday 🥳
If I were to picture her as a bride right now she’d be picking a vanilla cake with lots of sprinkles 😄🧁🎂 What dessert options are you choosing for your wedding? Big wedding cake or a dessert bar? So many choices! #laurawagnerphotography#bostonweddingphotographer#weddingcake
