I am super proud and happy to announce that I am an ambassador for the Denver chapter of @hiker_babes!! This awesome group brings together and inspires women to get outside and support one another and form that one thing I think we all need so, community! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I know that hiking and climbing mountains has had a profound effect on my mood, fitness, and my overall perspective on what I am capable of and I can't wait to share that with more women. I am planning my first group hike in March and I would love for any of my fellow hiker babes out there to come along. Details are as follows:
This is a hike for a cause coming up March 24th. As a group we will be supporting The Gathering Place! Check it out:
This is a non-profit that was founded in 1986, The Gathering Place is the only daytime drop-in center in metropolitan Denver that serves women, their children, and transgender individuals who are experiencing poverty, many of whom are also experiencing homelessness. While we refer to those we serve as "members," no fees are ever charged for programs or services.
I want to blow this one out of the water and really support this wonderful organization so mark your calendars and tell all your babe friends! We ask that anyone attending the hike bring either a small monetary donation (suggested $5), canned food or any items the organization needs. I have requested a list of what they need most and will share it as soon as I get it, but I know toiletries and unused underwear are high on the list. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We will be hiking Elk Falls Pond at Staunton State park on March 24th at 9 am. Come! Bring any fellow babes and let’s go have some fun!
There are t shirts for this event if anyone wants to pre-order them, they are $25 and 25% will go to a charity. Just let me know!
🚨NEW PRODUCT ALERT!!!🚨 Two new yoga pant styles just hit the shop and we just know you’re going to love ‘em! Click post to grab a pair before they’re gone and tag someone who would LOVE these! ❤️💛💙 @hotkossbuns

Photographing this legendary mountain man in his element marks an important milestone in my journey as a photographer. Over twenty years ago "Igloo Ed" invented the "ICEBOX" igloo building tool. A week ago I had the honor of snow camping with a group of adventurers led by this man. Ed is seventy years old, but has the wisdom of a man twice his age, and the stamina of an athlete half his age. His love of the outdoors is contagious. As we huddled in the igloo before bed, we all watched his face light up when he showed us pictures on his phone of the snowshoe excursion he took earlier that day. Ed's knowledge, and passion for snow is unmatched. I sat in silent reverence as he spoke of his innumerable igloo adventures in the mountains and across the world. Camping above ten thousand feet in the dead of winter is a feat I could have never imagined myself accomplishing, or even wanting to accomplish, just a year ago. The purchase of my camera has changed the course of my life. That, and my growing love of adventure and travel, continue to evolve my dreams, goals, and what fulfills me. I look forward to continuing to be inspired by the fascinating people and places that await me on my ever evolving journey.
