The #waragainstweakness continues on the physical front. Hung out at @relentless_strength_training for some deadlifts and split stance overhead presses this morning. I was training hard for a powerlifting comp this fall however after feeling constantly shitty, lethargic, and depressed every time I ate, my diet caught up to me. I’ve spent the last month or so reworking my nutrition habits and I, for the first time in years, am starting to feel much better. I cut out all gluten and noticed a physical and mental improvement almost immediately and am currently working to see what else I’m putting in my body is causing me inflammation, brain fog, and slowing me down physically. It’s hard to fight the war against weakness if one is not fit for combat. I finished 7th out of 8 lifters

Video 5 - 125kg bench press (15kg comp pb)

Picking up where I left off yesterday 😊
Here is a little progressive exercise from the single arm clean and presses in last night's video. These take a little more focus to make sure both sides are firing at the same time to ensure your stability, but definitely make for a more balanced full body exercise!
Keep your glutes tight and be sure your movements are fluid, if you feel yourself getting a little too jerky with the weights lighten them up a bit and master the form first! (injury prevention is always a goal! 🙌)
Give them a try for yourself next time you want a good full body exercise to throw in the mix! Be sure to get those weekend workouts in and have a great Saturday everyone! 😊

- Deadstop back squats are awkward to enter/exit.
- When you have 6 minutes to do 3 clean and jerk reps, don't do them all in a minute.
