This weekend has been a day of coming and going and coming and going. Last night two slept elsewhere and two others had friends sleep over.
Today one of the two is home, no idea if the other one is actually coming home today or tomorrow. I'm going with tomorrow.
Three have been out with friends today. A fourth has a sleep over tonight with another friend sleeping here reciprocally. Oh, and we have a guest for dinner too!
I appreciate our front door. It gets a lot more exercise than I do.
My Tommy has been a busy bee 🐝.
He’s been reading up on Native bees in a bid to get them cranking at our place. Not only are there about 2,000 species of native bees in Australia but they also stingless and excellent pollinators for our garden. In doing so, Tom has built this native bee hive from scratch. How fitting that he was on the hunt for three colours and I just so happened to have left over sample pots from the exterior colour scheme we have chosen for #38renovates . Seeing it beautifully painted on this hive has us both even more certain that this colour combo is definitely the one for us.
Colours are @duluxaus#hogbristlequarter#blueridgecolorbond and #selfdestruct
Today’s Finds: The brown widow 🕷 •
Aside from color, the spiked surface to their egg sacs distinguishes it from that of a black widow spider. •
‼️Important note: THEY DO BITE.‼️

Lately the weather hasn’t been playing ball... well at least for my days off anyway. I work full time during the week and manage my bees in my ‘spare’ time during the weekends.
My weekends are always jam packed with these little ladies, especially this time of year so it’s nice to have a beautiful arvo to check them not rushing.
Just taking the time just to observe them. 💛
Watching bees oddly enough is very relaxing for me. All of them humming away is a kind of white noise. With a gentle breeze and sunshine on your back, in my world at least, there is really no better place ☀️
