Do you have little red bumps on the backs of your arms? You're most likely suffering from keratosis pilaris—a common condition that stems from blocked hair follicles. Abrasive scrubbing can exacerbate symptoms, so try using a lotion with alpha- or beta-hydroxy acids to dissolve the bumps.
We have these lotions available for purchase through Skin Medica. Give us a call at 623-521-1892 *Always consult with your health care provider before starting any new medications.
PLEASE NOTE: We did not harm any flowers while taking this photo. Our dog is sitting on a small path in between flower patches and we took a low angle to make the flowers look like they were surrounding her more. We are aware that this issue has been a major concern to many during this year's exceptional desert wildflower bloom, most notably at Lake Elsinore in CA, and we share wholeheartedly in that concern. Much of what we have seen on social media has angered us as much as everyone else and it is not okay to blatantly trample through, lay on top of, or otherwise destroy wildflowers just for a social media photo ... or any other photo for that matter! We are professional nature photographers and we practice the "leave no trace" ethic when out photographing in the field, always!
With that, our dog, Kiva, often accompanies us in the field and she is HORRIBLE at having her photo taken! In most cases, as soon as we point a camera in her general direction, she immediately puts her head down and walks away. It is almost impossible to get her to sit by herself for a good portrait but tonight she did, even if it was for just a minute, and we just wanted to share the result. For those who don't know her story (and this is a very short version of it), Kiva was horribly sick as a young puppy. She came to us with the Parvo virus. At less than 8 weeks of age, and only a few days after we had brought her home, she was hospitalized for 10 days and on the sixth day we were told she was in such bad shape that she would almost certainly die before the day was over. She obviously made it, but even after she came home she still had to stay quarantined for the next three months because she could easily contract a secondary infection that could kill her. On that day in the hospital when they told us she wasn't going to make it, we promised her that if she did, we would spoil her rotten for the rest of her life. Kiva is going to turn 7 in May and we have tried very hard to live up to that promise. She is our baby and we love her dearly and we love that we were given the gift of having days and memories like this with her!
Let’s have a moment of silence for all of the times I got lost on this trail

I stood in awe, thousands of feet above the canyon floor, and just soaked in every last moment this magical place had to offer. I’ve been blessed to visit a lot of unique place in my state, but the views here literally took my breath away. It is so amazing to me that it took millions of years for the Colorado River to form these meanders. #arizona#navajonation
