Christmas vacation was fun. We snorkeled, had a great time in the waves, my boyfriend ate bugs 🤢, we had dinner in a cave #aluxrestaurant and we got some much needed sunshine. The only shitty part was losing my Prada sunglasses to the sea. Oh, and I learned one can never look good snorkeling. (We look fat as fuck in the first pic, not really that way I promise)
Dinner, in a cave.
Last night I was reflecting on my time in Mexico and decided, definitively that dinner at Alux was the single best meal, both for the food and ambiance. It’s in a cave. Amazing live music. Beautiful lighting. Thoughtful touches. 4 courses including tip for under $50 US? Brilliant.
I may be slightly claustrophobic but it was fine. I’d go back anytime. Would you eat in a cave?
🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽Сегодня ездили аж за 75 км в ресторан “Alux”😱Я так ждала этой поездки! Увидели это место в программе Орел и Решка и сразу решили,что это место обязательно к посещению в Мексике!

Reminiscing on our trip to celebrate Greg’s 40th birthday last year, just days after we closed on our brand new house. Last fall was like a dream! For this trip we spent 5 days in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. This is a 10,000 year old cave that we dined in. The entire experience at Alux restaurant was one of a kind, romantic, and a perfect way to spend the evening celebrating all of our hard work over 2017, as well as Greg turning 40. One of the biggest blessings that Poshmark afforded us initially, was as a supplement to our income. It provided for extras, like this much needed couple vacation. It also provided 90% of our vacation wardrobe for this vacation, through careful resale earnings and Poshmark purchases! But, the biggest blessing that selling on Poshmark was yet to come. When I lost my job this past April and decided to jump into reselling full time, I was scared, yes....but I was certain this was my path. I’d been dreaming of doing this full time for 5 years! Since April, reselling has been how we have had a way to stay in our beautiful new home, pay our mortgage and keep food on our table. And we hope to continue to travel this beautiful world to add to our list of adventures!
