Set amongst the towering Rockies, Maligne Lake is famed for it’s azure-blue, glacial waters and, of course, Spirit Island. But let’s not forget about the trails: Hiking there is a majestic experience. 360 degree view of infinite glaciers and lakes!
Here’s a picture I took on the Bald Hills trail. Definitely, one of the prettiest sight I’ve seen in Jasper.

Last year we spent a couple of days in a rustic camp. No electricity, only a fire to heat and candles to light the place, only card games and talking to have fun. Crazy how it’s easy to reconnect when there’s no distraction around! And let’s say that heating the camp at every 3 hours definitely shortened the nights and let our toes chilly! But it was so much fun. Looking to go back this year !

Giving Bow Lake a loving look from Mount Jimmy Simpson! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This shot was taken this fall, where the goal was to catch fall colours and ended up in catching winter wonderland! We knew the hike was a little bushy, but we decided to go anyway. There would have footprints in the snow to guide us, right?! ...Error! It resulted in two girls joking and laughing at trying to find their way to the top. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
While it was all fun in the beginning, the gain of elevation and snow did not fail to challenge us! After some hands-on scrambling and bushwalking, we (finally!) made it to this view. I remember feeling so proud and happy when we arrived there! The scene instantly eliminated all traces of pain in our body, making us profoundly serene. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
On the way down, I was able to enjoy some music ... while being aware of my surroundings! The @aftershokzcan headphone design allows my ears to stay completely open ambient sounds, which was very convenient as I could listen to music and talk to my friend…but also hear if we had a special guest🐻 ! #ShokzSquadCAN#ad

"Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love."
— Mother Teresa
In life, we emphasize too much on bigger things and eventually forget how even the smallest gestures can make the most meaningful impact. What we do may be small in the grand scheme of things, but if they are done with love, really, that is what matters.

I can’t resist sharing all these Icefield Parkway shots. The magnificent beauty of glaciers, lakes and rivers... And seriously, it’s easy accessibility makes it the perfect playground ! I really do love hiking, but sometimes it’s just great to have so many possibilities only a few steps away from the car! 😅

Not my usual kind of photography... But my hometown is just so beautiful in winter time! Here’s a view of Quartier Petit Champlain with the Chateau Frontenac in the background: where Christmas magic comes to life ! #explorecanada#beautifuldestinations

Do you agree with me that winter is cabin season? While it’s cold outside being all cozy up inside, watching the sun rise, reading a book or playing games. Everything to recharge the batteries!
Last week I spent 3 days in the mountains, to relax but also took the opportunity to hike! I brought with me my Olympus Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II and jeez! It’s so light I didn’t have the impression to carry a camera ! Let’s talk about the cool features it has. I really enjoyed the 121 AF points that covers the shooting area, I mean, it can’t be easier to target a subject! There’s room for 2 memory cards (which can be life saving!) and big plus if you’re a selfie master, the screen is amovible! Next thing I want to test, (and one of the main reason I wanted to try the Olympus mirrorless camera) is the 5-axis image stabilization. I’ll tell you more soon ! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

On my way back from Iceland started my fascination for Groenland. Flying above this land has been one of the most dramatic and beautiful sight I ever saw

Definitely my favorite spot for photography in Quebec when winter arrives. At this time, while the river is not completely frozen and the trees are dressed in their best clothes, it let us enjoy those gorgeous sceneries in the valley. And if you’re lucky, you can even can see foxes!
As I talked in a previous post earlier this fall, I am testing the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II for the next months. Must say that I was feeling confident knowing that my body is weatherproof as the snow was falling strong that day! But the feature I loved testing is the automatic exposure bracketing. It was very helpful as I often take 2 or 3 shots of different exposures and then stack them together to make the final shot. It was so easy to have the camera doing it for me! Also, very practical when you don’t have a tripod with you - as it’s keeps you from moving too much! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
