Whenever I start talking about my career with people, they always ask where my favourite place is. There’s never a one place answer to that question but Kyoto in Japan is definitely one of many favourites. The clash of modern day Japan with traditional Japan makes this place beautiful to explore! If you’re ever there, be sure to take in a sunrise along the Ōi River in Arashiyama ✨

Shadows and sunlight intersect on the Franz Josef Glacier in New Zealand. If you look closely you can spot the Centennial Hut and some small trails in the snow leading to and from the hut. Looks like the perfect place to escape to!
Dedicating time in nature has always been important to me, even with colder weather on the way. Like everything in life, it’s about balance. Living in Vancouver for the past few years with magical places like this just half an hour away from @patricklevesque and I makes sure we never take them for granted. #NatureIsWaiting

I was fighting back severe headaches and dehydration while photographing Mount Pumori from the small settlement of Gorakshep that sits just below 17,000ft. Every part of my body refused to cooperate but thankfully the sunrise gave me the boost of adrenaline I needed to crawl out of my sleeping bag and shoot. A moment I’m sure every photographer can relate to?

Nara Park in Japan is one of those places I’d always been fascinated by. It’s a place where humans and wildlife coincide in one of the most beautiful locations. Fun fact: These deer bite and one took a bite out of my 🍑 the same day I photographed this. (I’ll post the video to my story)

Some of my favourite conversations have been had around campfires with some of my favourite people. Now that Fall fades into winter I’ll miss camping but I’m excited for snow covered mountains and the ski season! @eddiebauer#LiveYourAdventure#EBcontributor

We all have a photo or two that defines our career, this is one of those photos for me. I captured this 8 years ago in Banff on the side of a curve in the railway line. A group of elk were spooked from the forest and forced to cross the tracks, each of them hesitating and checking for incoming trains. My photo was picked up by National Geographic and it went viral across the internet, putting my work on display to the masses long before social media marketing was thing. Do you have a defining photo?

For the first time in years I’m not going out to Japan to shoot the fall colours and I’m getting some serious FOMO but I’m overloaded with really fun projects to make up for it. What place is #1 on your ‘must visit’ list at the moment?

The rush of adrenaline you get flying through the air at 200km/hr battling fierce winds all while looking through a camera eyepiece is unbeatable, especially with a sunrise like this! #ExploreAlberta#LiveYourAdventure
This dock is the most easterly point in Alaska and one of the most breathtaking regions of the continent that I’ve visited. There’s such a supernatural feeling in the air, the environment here flourishes in untamed wilderness.
