Say hello to our team cheerleader, loudspeaker, and general morale booster Rachel Oster (@thecampusmorale). Rachel joined the Adventure Aide team one year ago and currently runs our Ambassador Program. Originally from New Orleans, Rachel is a total foodie and is willing to try just about everything. She grew up playing soccer and played in college for Cal Poly’s club team, but her true passion is traveling. From Seattle, Washington to Paris, France, Rach has been to 18 states and 17 countries - her favorite being Italy. Come Friday night you can either find Rach deep in a game of Catan or out on the town dancing the night away….Rachel LOVES to dance. Over the weekend we had two groups of amazing people from the Adventure Aide community organize cleanups. On Saturday a few of our Ambassadors drove out to @joshuatreenps to cleanup trash and volunteer their time to maintain the park. Then on Sunday @jenniferlovas and @missionpacific organized a yoga flow and beach cleanup on the Central Coast where the group cleaned up 132 pounds of trash and recycling. Over the last few days we have received many comments and DMs from you guys supporting these cleanups and asking if there will be more opportunities to go on them in the future. Thank you to everyone for your support, we are incredibly blessed to have a community of people who love the outdoors. If we come together during these difficult times we can have a positive impact on our National Parks. Comment below or send us a DM if you’re interested in going on or leading a cleanup! We’ll do our best to spread the word and connect people who are in the same area.

We ❤️ our National Parks. With the partial government shutdown now rolling into week 3, our National Parks have been hit especially hard. While adventuring around the parks free and unsupervised may seem like a good time, the damage being done from understaffing and waste will have a lasting effect for potentially years to come. Let’s not forget these parks deserve our respect and care so we can continue to play and explore in the future.
We’re proud to share that a few of our Ambassadors organized a Joshua Tree cleanup for today and we’re hoping together we can have a positive impact on this horrible situation.

Back in 2014, Adventure Aide was just a simple idea dreamed up by @connorwoolpert and his father Mark. Since then, this idea has evolved into a platform that is quickly becoming the epicenter for all things outdoors. Our story is just beginning and we’re excited to see where this next chapter takes us.

Meet Kevin (@kevinn.hughes), our go to guy for all things business dev, recruiting, and market retention. Kevin likes games. Give the guy a trash can, tennis ball, bungee cord, duct tape and a super soaker and he’ll show you some good ol’ fashion backyard fun. During the summer, he spends his days on the lake, and in the winter you can find him shredding pow in Tahoe.
Some days, when the stress is just too much, Kev’s alter ego Murph Macfurgeson comes out. Murph runs his daily paper route around Culver City by day and leads a neighborhood watch program in the evening. 😉
If anyone knows of a rec sports league in LA, Kevin is struggling to find “quality” competition.
Watch our Instagram story for a day-in-the-life takeover by Kevin and ask him anything.
Winter morning surf sessions on the Central Coast. It’s not always easy to get out of bed when it’s cold outside, but it’s so worth it. . . most of the time.
