Note to self: Don't play tug of war with a baby elephant 😂 You will lose. This is MR TONG. He was super playful, only 18 months old. Cute af.

Meet Mum and Dad 😄 I think everybody loves elephants.
But yet I STILL see people paying to ride elephants, still paying for "elephant shows" please be aware these are known for animal cruelty. Another one is getting so called "Tiger selfies" with heavily sedated tigers. These tourist attractions are known for the way the treat these animals.
Although there has been an increase in awareness, these animals are still being exploited and encouraged throughout Thailand. Please don't pay for them and eventually they will come to an end. Anyway peace ✌ Stop exploiting animals.

I'm always skeptical about doing any touristy things which could be exploiting animals for money, especially in South East Asia as there is so much of it. Although I must say after some research we found an elephant sancturay that nobody online had complained out. After a 2 hour trek in the jungle, a not to shabby waterfall and some rather intense water rafting in the pouring rain which I could only describe as "questionably unsafe" 😂 We finally got here, where I can honestly say the elephants truly roam free with no pens/chains of any sort. Nothing about the interactions felt forced. No "tools" are used to move/prompt the elephants in anyway. A small group of us met the whole family and gave them a wheely bin worth of bananas 🍌 This big guy was the leader. His name pronounced "Poo-egg". He's cool. 👌

I have no idea how my camera was able to capture these shots with the amount of water on my lens. The spray back was intense. Big up @mulepipe for doing a hand stand on a wet jagged rock which could of resulted in a fatality 😂👏
