Furrends-I wish we had better news.
I remember when I first met Meeseeks at the shelter. It was absolute love at first sight and in time it would become obvious that the feeling was mutual. Meeseeks was smaller than all of his siblings, but what he lacked in size, he made up for in personality. He followed me wherever I went. All of his siblings were incredibly people oriented but he had a certain spark and I was hooked long before I knew it.
Meeseeks has fought long and hard in the year since we first met. He’s survived panleukopenia, three bouts of aspiration pneumonia, and battles on a daily basis with his disease FGESF.
He was hospitalized yesterday morning after a sudden collapse and was given an emergency blood transfusion last night after his PCV dropped to 14. We had high hopes after the transfusion when his PCV rose to 18 but were informed tonight that it has once again dropped and another transfusion is urgently needed.
Meeseeks valiantly stood up during a quick visit this evening but collapsed suddenly once more leaving us questioning whether the end is near for our sweet baby boy.
Please please continue to pray and spread the word. We vow to do everything we possibly can to keep our little one alive and stand by him until the very end.
Our GoFundMe campaign has just reached the halfway point to its goal but we are a long way away from covering the expenses we’re sure to face. After his sudden collapse again tonight and the need for a second emergency blood transfusion time is running out.
Thank you all so incredibly much from the bottom of my heart for standing by us through this. We’re praying that we’re able to take our baby home with us, no matter how little time we may have left ❤️
